As far as the “H” thing goes

We all shook our heads in the stupidity of it. AW wasn’t the only one from Lompton and the surrounding burbs who dabbled and or got hooked.
We all just laughed and said “God Bless ’em”

Having an addictive personality and have had bouts with some vices that “H” shit was just risky.

  2. El Duderino Says:

    too risky

Good moves. The Chelsea is a sweet pick and kind of close. That place will be quite the party.

Tour looks tight I can’t hit much. If I find the cheap flight perhaps I hit the tour opener. AC = yep. Catch me page side speaks back of the field, like every “fest”. Perhaps a JB…gotta hang w fam for July 4th. Everyone be good and enjoy.

I am with miner. I look for trancendence. And sometimes I get there via pure type 1. I just like to get the hassles outta the way. Early Summer last year work troubles fucked with my clear mind. UIC helped fix that. Will be stoked to see many of u punks in AC. If any one gets too shitty and needs their mommy you can come back to my house and the wife will cook you a meal and provide shelter.

i think they dropped the ball by not doing memorial day weekend at bethel. anyone have any inside info as to why that did not go down?

  7. lumpyhead Says:

    that’s nice of you gdad.

    I can’t wait for AC.

  8. lumpyhead Says:

Bethel should be a tradition, plain and simple.

I believe the verdict on that was that a certain part of the band was available for mem day and others were not, so they ended up not being able to do it.

  9. gavinsdad Says:

@the flesh – you excited you finally got ur dates? you were def chompin at the bit. nobody would know why bethel didn’t go down…it’d be pure speculation. would be interesting to see if they toss that at the end of the ride home on leg 2.

my age and younger got hit hard though el dude. shit really blew up on the phish seen early 200’s.

when phish stopped in 03 every kid I knew was into that shit including kids we both know. shit was bad. lost like 6 friends.

even worse now in the suburbs and city with even younger kids. easier to get than a six pack in Chicago.

  11. El Duderino Says:

yeah i lost a Jr. High buddy on Boulder to it…

  12. albert walker Says:

a few of my friends still out there doing there thing. including last time I checked a close mutual friend of Miner and mine. shit is sad. a scene that obsessed with getting high can be fucked up. watch out kids.

  13. Purplehumpbackwhale Says:

Fishman pulls a fast one on the audience in the 12.11.99 simple. Time signature change once the audience starts clapping in 4/4 time. Hilarious, almost mound-like

  14. sumodie Says:

AC is def being setup like a festi but not a festi

Red Light lost $$$ there last year for DMB, tho they knew they were laying the foundation for future shows

they’re gonna work hard to recoup this year

  15. gavinsdad Says:

i actually just deleted an H post but hell…it killed more of my peeps than i can count. the big buzz comes with a price. and most kids just got over the stigma and wanted a big fat buzz and caught hell. nobody really tells a fun H story if they are telling the truth.

anyway….heres to L or the vehicle or sweet tarts or whatever helps us blast off, get in touch, deep dive and enjoy ourselves this Summer.

  16. El Duderino Says:

whole CLT crew comin’ up sumo

  17. sumodie Says:

Mem Day Bethel got canceled cause Fishman knew he’d need more training

  18. gavinsdad Says:

and if you’re stone cold clean and sober and love the phish this is your song too.

  19. El Duderino Says:

I know all of who you b talkin’ AW

  20. Calpain Says:

when I watched the video for the first time I really thought Fishman was going to lay-down the Eye of The Tiger beat for a quick second, hand wraps, sweat pants, coughing for the 1st 10 seconds…yeah he was training alright.

  21. El Duderino Says:

after this many years I have to give props to ex partier’s who can do the C/S deal.

  22. El Duderino Says:

I bet that was discussed Calpain

  23. albert walker Says:

pretty much anyone we both knew of my old crew

  24. gavinsdad Says:

AC is magnetic because it simply has all the makings. us old folk like 3 days to really settle in. 3 packs are like your grandpa’s recliner chair…too comfy.

  25. El Duderino Says:

and it’s more economical IMO bigger bang for the buck
