She’s fine, thanks. She has a bruised chin and it looks like she has a goatee, but she is feeling good. Thanks for asking!

  2. Kaveh Says:

Thanks Joe! I do appreciate it. Seems hotels are all booked. Where are people staying?

  3. Tom Says:

So I am hung up on what to do for this leg. I know I can do Woosta but SPAC, AC an JB are all up in the air. I was hoping for camping at AC, but now that i know there isn’t camping it might be hard for me pull off. Anyone have suggestions/solutions for housing in AC? If I miss AC, it is possible that I might not see anymore Phish this summer after the run at the DCU center which would be a bummer. Thanks

Sorry for the probable redundancy post, but will there be a west coast leg 2? If so, do we know when the dates will drop? Much obliged.

  6. El Duderino Says:

    here it is:

  7. sumodie Says:

The SPAC run is starting to sound good but tour closers seem to have a bad track record in 3.0

    I strongly disagree

    See SPAC’09, Charlottesville’09, JB’10, AC’10, Portsmouth’11, UIC or Dick’s’11

  8. garretc Says:

    @vw

The scuttlebutt is that there will be a fairly robust west coast leg 2, with at least a 2 or 3 show run at Bill Graham in SF and Dick’s on labor day…

    But grain of salt, etc

  9. garretc Says:

Haha, Sumo, I had a post a few pages ago debunking the “tour openers are warm up shows” idea too…

  10. sumodie Says:

Leg 2 begins ~Aug 18, quite possibly at Bill Graham CC, SF and ending at Labor Day Dick’s. Supposedly no Gorge

  11. sumodie Says:

Ha! Always a slow typist here

Thanks, duder. Already gave the 2.16 sbd a luscious spin. Gotta luv Phil’s sbd generosity

  12. jerseyjim Says:

AC rec: Robert’s Place in Margate, NJ. two towns south of AC. One block in from the beach, great wings and beers. very local place…contractors and landscapers…but good people, good bar food, no bullshit.

  13. hoedown Says:

@ tom, there are campgrounds on the mainland but not sure if your able or how far your willing to drive?? Otherwise the cheapest hotels are outside the city on the black horse pike or white horse pike. But be careful if you look into that as there are some real seedy places. Some nice, but most, not so much. Just have to choose carefully.

  14. sumodie Says:

Man, those two Portsmouth dates have me drooling. Combine them with AC and that’s a 5 show gen adm run. Those are def on my wish list right after Woosta, AC & SPAC

and while AC is getting all the deserved early hype, a 3-pack tour closing SPAC run (with a new audio system for the lawn) is sure primed to be the baddest of them all

    3-packs are IT

  15. Tom Says:

Isn’t the parking in Bader field limited? If you didn’t get in there are there private lots around?

  16. Mr. Palmer Says:

I heard that Phish is the first band to ever place SPAC 3 nights in a row.

Pretty sure i have to decide between JB and Spac. JB is easier and cheaper for me, so that looks like the winner.

  17. sumodie Says:

The Chelsea Pub&Inn / Tropicana Hotel section of the Boardwalk is just over a mile away from Bader. True, I’ve heard sketch things about walking in some parts of AC, but I’m sure there will be lotsa peeps walking to/fro. And I’m guessing there will be some form of public transport

  18. jerseyjim Says:

gotta send sincere thanks to all the BB – thanks to the advance warnings on leg 1 dates, i managed to score a hotel room in Saratoga – now sold out. just also scored pre-approval from the “boss” for making the trip, so saddle up the ponies…beers on me, when the time comes.

  19. sumodie Says:

So is the beach at JB an insanity for July 4th? That place sure looks built for CROWDS (at least back in the early 20th century)

The fact that JB is the only venue I’ve ever been to with a park-anywhere-you-want lot is just one indication that the music venue is but a small part of that park’s appeal

  20. guitarpicker420! Says:

As happy as I am today, knowing that I will be going to 3 shows this summer, I will be happier in 2 weeks, when I hear find out what I’ve got…and then the happiest of all, 4 months from now…I’ll be grooving.

  21. hoedown Says:

No other parking areas near venue other than what they are using I guess. Check out the site on google earth. Its all marsh land basically. But you could park somewhere more in the city and get a shuttle or walk.

  22. Jtran Says:

Anyone posting up at the Ramada West this year for AC?

Silly, me, KP, willowed all stayed there for AC10. Anyone know if that’s kind of close to Bader?

  23. El Duderino Says:

    @ Palmer

isn’t JB the real sketch lot/gas mafia?

  24. Kaveh Says:

@ElDude: Thanks for the link; getting the 16th and 17th downloaded. Phil SBD’s are always so, so nice.

  25. hoedown Says:

That would be Camden @ Dude
