it was like a mini phish show in there. lots of the michigan crew, plus a collection of young hippies, heads and students.
the first set was full of improvisation, which is normally saved for set II. guessing it got buck wild after we left.
great scene.
in other words, my sons dentist no longer takes medical. grumble grumble
kaya, the whole front row were ladies, seemingly trying to catch the eye of anyone in the band, with hair, booty, and shoulder shakes.
Steve MArtin can play and that how is a good time.
awesome. love the ladies
so what’s the deal? we gonna get the TT off the ground today?

steep canyon rangers don’t do it for me
for peeps interested in health care policy, a very interesting report (just the bullet points alone are striking)

Fucking love Bernie Sanders.
duder – how you gonna make leg II shows? isn’t Little Dude comin around that time? the key is to get your tour on in advance!
’96 was a weird year, both summer and fall. i think AW described it well. it has a stink of mediocrity, but when i look back at the shows i saw, lots of fun stuff.
highlights for me, JazzFest, DeerCreek, Letter M show, Rupp Ginn (and entire show), Charlotte Simple, Champaign. then add in Clifford, Vegas, and Halloween, it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be.
I guess you’re right…
early august can be done I think, after that probably not.
I think fall ’96 has aged very well. If you accept that there isn’t a whole lot of original/abstract jamming, and a lot of somewhat predictable stuff w/ Trey on drum kit for part 2 of many jams, the overall playing is INSANELY tight and focused and high octane.
ya I love summer and fall 96 just like any tour some good some bad
but Alpine through ball summer was just fire
and the post halloween fall started getting into the groove space.
could feel it was a year in progress but the chops were still so on point when they went big. as in today’s tweezer and Mike’s or the whole clifford ball run.
This is really interesting whether you are into the NBA or not.

Someone should pull Miner’s dates from yesterday’s discussion, page 24? and post them here again, or I can.
Fall ’96 Rebas are sweet. Almost as fast in tempo as ’95 versions, but a much more buttery, patient, multilayered approach IMO. Halloween and 12/30 are a couple of my faves from that ter.
