Split Open and Melt -> Catapult” 12.31.99 I, Big Cypress, FL

One of the top highlights from Big Cypress—an all-time great.

Reba” 6.13.94 II Kansas City, KS

1994 and “Reba,” a match made in heaven. Here is another stellar version.

Ghost” 8.7.98 I, Raleigh, NC

A first set bomb after the rain stopped at Walnut Creek ’98.

Piper” 8.8.98 II, Columbia, MD

As Phish came back from Europe, after dropping Prague’s 7/6/98 version, “Piper” continued to expand.

Tweezer” 11.3.96 II, Gainesville, FL

A groovy and percussive version with Karl Perazzo; two shows after “Remain In Light” you can already hear the influence of the album’s style.

YEM -> Izabella” 7.26.97 II, Austin, TX

Everyone knows “Tweezabella,” but do you know her sister “YEMabella?”

Stash” 11.13.97 II, Las Vegas, NV

Phish dropped this mammoth “Stash” on the first night of Fall ’97. Funk, what?

Well the mrs, myself, and soon to be born kiddo were going to go visit family in May, now we are probably postponing the trip and most likely headed back in June. Which bodes well for trying to catch a show somewhere, but where? Worcester will be a tough ticket, and that works ideally if we are in mass visiting family. Atlantic City can work, but don’t think I can go all three nights. Those are the only options unless we wait until July, or just cross fingers for Colorado or the Bay area.

I should have put in via lotto, and could have helped the BB if things didn’t work out. D’Oh

  2. voopa Says:

PB- I got lawn’d via PTBM for Shoreline ’09, stubhub’d some sweet pavs about a week before the show. Cu$ty.

  3. Guyute711 Says:

Sorry Keith, the buck stops here. Don’t count the Cuse out just yet. Let’s go Orange clap clap clap clap clap!!!!!

  4. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

just saw this wonderful eye candy for the first time. I think Boeheim should rock this outfit again if they make the Final Four.

  5. Robear Says:

bhizzle, SPAC has had lots of ‘their years’. this will be no different. except for the saps on the lawn

  6. Tom Says:

I am looking for a place to stay for the AC run and was just wondering if any BB’er had some floor space.I will gladly pay my fair share to sleep on the floor. Feel free to shoot me an email at te29powe@siena.edu to talk about plans. Thanks

  7. Phamily Berzerker Says:

there are in fact more than one solution….

  8. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    question the assumptions….

  9. Robert Champion Says:

Hey everyone. I hope everybody is doing well this week and that the ticket Gods are being kind. I am on board for Penn, Ohio, Noblesville and Alpine. I have a question. Does anyone have a good hotel recommendation for Penn? Also, I need a nice place around there to have dinner as I plan on meeting with some friends when we converge. We are looking for something a little classy so any suggestions would be a big help…

I am a little late with the latest edition of The Philler. It is part two of the MSG rundown with Mr. Miner and the second part of my interview with Phish fan and NYC poet Caroline Rothstein. I had to wait a little bit to get the interview completed so thank you everyone for your patience!

You can listen to the latest installment @

What can you expect this time around? The two fold story about how Caroline got into Phish, Team America, Golden Gods, Auras and Almost Famous. Check it out when you get a chance and thanks for listening.

  10. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    perhaps more ellipsis…

  11. GoingSouth Says:

    Anyone heading to Portsmouth?

  12. Chonz Says:

Going to be hoping for some Alpine pavilion love tomorrow for my birthday show.

I love having a 7/1 birthday. I’ve seen more Phish shows on that date than any other, though it stings the most being too broke to be able to swing Europe in 97. Phish in Amsterdam on my birthday and I wasn’t there. C’est la vie.

  13. SillyWilly Says:

thanks a lot for the travel story. It helps me balance out my clients’ stories. Because everyone who comes through my office has a negative experience (obviously).

I love those type of stories.

Mine did not turn out so well, as many of you know. So it helps the ol’ anxiety.

but you did well denying him at first.

the sad thing to remember is you’re probably not going to stop a cop getting in your car. You’re just trying to create a record so that an attorney can challenge the search as unconstitutional. You might be hanging out in jail, and then sweating it out for a few months, but if you can continue to refuse consent to search and ask for a lawyer if you’re being accused of something, you have a much better chance of winning a motion to suppress the stuff taken from your car

just a little advice to everyone. not foolproof and not going to win everytime, just helps the odds.

  14. SillyWilly Says:

oh yeah and im just a student, not an attorney

so if you ever have real trouble make sure to contact an attorney

public defenders are often good at these kinds of issues, because of the sheer quantity of cases they have like these

and they often have deeper relationships with the DAs and judges because they’re around so often

  15. Robert Champion Says:

I too will be in front of my my computer trying to snag pavilions for Alpine tomorrow. If that doesn’t happen then I will certainly find my way down there come hell or high water.

it’s an exciting time to be a Phish fan…I’m hoping for a “Piper” at any of my shows but the notion of surrendering to the flow is always permeating throughout my body so I am just going to go with it.

  16. Mr. Palmer Says:

    symphonic topplings

  17. Kaveh Says:

I’m hoping for a “Piper” at any of my shows

^ For me: always; that and CDT or Maze. Rock n Roll.

  18. Jtran Says:

    2 day JB passes

  19. angryjoggerz Says:

Hi all, got a PA pav on pre-sale today, but nothing good for Alpine. I would be happy to take any Alpine pavs off anyone who has any extras. I am on the ticket exchange board list. Thanks!

  20. SillyWilly Says:

I just realized in about 2 months, I will be a real licensed attorney.

and the first thing I’m doing is going on tour.

I always love the SillyWilly Legal Advice Tent jokes.

if only that wouldn’t get me disbarred.

  21. Robert Champion Says:

right on Kevah – The “Piper” at Spac in 2004 changed the way I thought about that song. Mr. Miner also gives some great “Piper” suggestions on the latest installment of The Philler because we obviously had to talk about the version that was played this past December in New York. We both agreed that the version at SPAC was one to be recollected multiple times for it’s beauty and power.

Pre sale stress is getting to me right now. I cannot even think about work. The only thing I am thinking about right now is getting to bed at a decent time so I can be logged into ticketmaster in the morning here in Chicago.

  22. Kaveh Says:

Hoops on the second screen and SuperBall in the ears. F-an-A!

  23. SillyWilly Says:

you know what, I’m going to go ahead an embrace the Alpine lawn on Saturday night this year. (I have a pav Sunday)

I did it both nights in ’10.

    I live in Wisconsin.

I eat brats regularly, and I love New Glarus beer.

    I’m ready.

***heads to the gym for the calf raises***

  24. Kaveh Says:

@SW: You are my brother from another mother…we will meet in the homeland this summer…with brats, beers and Phish in hand. Count on it!

  25. SillyWilly Says:

    Definitely, Kaveh

it’s a shame we haven’t met, yet. looking forward to chilling this summer.
