TTFW: The End of 2010
The time between Fall Tour and New Year’s Run did little to derail Phish’s building momentum. Set to return to Worcester and Madison Square Garden—the exact venues of the ’95 Holiday Run—for an unprecedented five nights, fans were flying high to take on the most extensive year-end run in history. And the band’s playing did not disappoint. Though only one of the five shows really came together as a complete two-setter (1/1/11), the run produced ample highlights as the band completed a tremendous year of progression and playing. It would be almost six months before we greeted the band again in Bethel, but after the holiday run—the musical exclamation point on 2010—the time felt a heck of a lot different than this off season does.
2010′s Holiday Run featured six central jams—”Seven Below -> What’s the Use?,” “Harry Hood,” “Tweezer,” “Sand,” “Ghost,” and “Simple”—and plenty of supporting music to go along with them. Today’s playlist is comprised these selections and more as we continue our audio retrospective on this era.

go see Greensky Bluegrass, Tzara’s, you’ll love them
Thatd be awesome if you can make it to Seattle. You have a place to stay, and August not very busy for me. Still thinking I might make the DC-> AV run too.
My 2 previous posts were both in agreement with and in response to el dude’s comment. And I did some reading on Selassie last night, so there ya go.
Keep in touch about DC>AV, tzara’s.
let me know how I can help
looks like we’ll be camping for DC, but we haven’t talked about what we’ll be doing for AV
@silly – i’m still looking for a ride up to AV from DC. or at least to Chicago possibly.
I can give you a ride, Tela’s.
if you can, it’s much appreciated. either that or i’m sneaking in Miner’s trunk.
@tela’s, found a Ford Escape SUV, or midsize, for about $300 total too, out of O’Hare. So that’s a possibility too.
if you’re going tzara, let me know, that’s not a bad plan. i booked a room for DC as well.
let’s talk before you guys rent a car
I’m pretty flexible and I’d love to help you out.
unless you guys would prefer the autonomy – which I understand for sure.

Sounds good Sillly, I have to hammer this out soon. I have one DC ticket I think, so need to get to work on that too, but not really worried about that part. In some quick research, it looks like I can fly in and out of Chi/Milwaukee, or whatever works, for about the same price.
Sounds good, Tzara’s.
I’m going to be working on my plans this week, too.
Welcome elementset…stick around mang.
And we’re all in this together. Thanks Miner for planting the seeds.
(gotta say this red bull signature snowboarding is outstanding. Amazing terrain and riders. Kids are out of their minds)
I also have an extra AV pavilion for Sunday night.
Been on a big Jimmy Herring kick this morning. Enjoy!

Not much ticket need around here or with my non BB friends etc? Peeps waiting for some leg 2 dates or what?
What up BB. My nephew’s christening is this afternoon, getting ready to dress up my feral children in their Sunday best (or in our case, their “once every maybe 3 years on special occasions” best) and see if they can sit respectfully in church for a half hour around my super Catholic family. No stress.
Also: Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride was a contender, but once I got my son on Space Mountain it was all over, that took up the rest of our day until the fireworks. Disney trip, as much as it pains me to admit, was $$$ (both kinds of $$$).
@GDiddy
I’d think the whole not selling out thing probably helps too…
hunk of green ghee
Def waitn on leg2 here, @gd. Gotta come closer than Portsmouth to get us to a midweek twofer. Of course, all bets are off if theyre on fire by the time they get to VA and its still an easy ticket.
We will need center pavs if Lakewood happens tho. Either that or we can brim the diggin ez-ups and picnic tables. Gonna be a family-friendly good time on that wide-open lawn.
@dognamed
I thought Portsmouth was already one of the few sold out shows?
Space Mountain is the boombozzie. As much a rite of passage as your first dose. Goin to Tampa in a few weeks. can’t wait. Gonna hit up Cassadega, which is the psychic capital of the world.
Garret – not even opportunistic Pav upgrading. No volume on that. This laid back vibe is unsettling, even for me.
Fall theatre tour yo!
