etree only has the uncut Shapiro broadcasts AFAIK. both of my “Leaked SBD Projects” are on the ‘Noid. I’ve also put a batch of my remasters up there too. Sadly I can’t justify re-upping them to MediaFire or any other service because who knows whether the FBI shuts it down one day.

I’ve been meaning to get more uploaded but since I recently moved all my stuff is disorganized and i’ve been super busy.

weird sumo, i was listening to radio this morning, they talked about the Dream Team for Olympic Basketball. Which made me think of Spearhead’s ‘My Dream Team’ song.

“It don’t mean a thing, the same summer, we saw Rodney King”.

    Then I got to thinking:

we always hear about Rodney King. He did not deserve what happened. That said, wasn’t he a jacked up, abusive, career criminal.

But we never hear about Reginald Denny. The white truck driver who was beaten by blacks and hispanics, for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, while helicopters filmed it.

What a Racist country we still live in.

Speaking of hotties, Gabriela (along with Rodrigo) will be shredding tonight at the Orpheum in Boston, 7:30

    Can’t wait!

they’re touring with…gasp…an orchestra from Cuba

  4. Robear Says:

    Typo Alert^

He WAS jacked up, abusive, career criminal. Not ‘Wasn’t’

surprised there hasn’t been a reference to this yet. the whole opening is fantastic, but the money lines are around the 5:18 mark, and quoted below.

Parole Board chairman: They’ve got a name for people like you H.I. That name is called “recidivism.”
    Parole Board member: Repeat offender!
Parole Board chairman: Not a pretty name, is it H.I.?
H.I.: No, sir. That’s one bonehead name, but that ain’t me any more.
Parole Board chairman: You’re not just telling us what we want to hear?
    H.I.: No, sir, no way.
Parole Board member: ‘Cause we just want to hear the truth.
H.I.: Well, then I guess I am telling you what you want to hear.
Parole Board chairman: Boy, didn’t we just tell you not to do that?
    H.I.: Yes, sir.
    Parole Board chairman: Okay, then.

  6. sumodie Says:

I’m sure the press will be dragging Reginald Denny back into the spotlight too

Rodney King sounded very grounded & content this morning -tho he blew thru his $4M settlement rather quickly apparently

  7. [Not Tom] Says:

@ TIII – that’s where I learned the word “recidivism”

that movie played almost everyday in the house I lived in in college

    – they got more’n they can handle

    – chairs you got a dinette set; no chairs you ain’t got dick

    – no leeds? NO Leeds?

    – say, HI, so how’d you get that baby so quick? Well, ya see, there’s who ya know, and then over here ya got favoritism.

    – You keep your damn hands off m’wife!

    – H.I., you’re young and you got your health, what you want with a job?

    – There’s what’s right and there’s what’s right and never the twain shall meet.

  8. [Not Tom] Says:

    maybe my favorite …

    – we released ourselves on our own recognizance

  9. Guyute711 Says:

I see your recidivist clip and raise you one.

  10. garretc Says:

Will do, Silly, although not until later when I’ve got some time on my hands!

  11. [Not Tom] Says:

On a different topic – quite the irony that someone who would change his name to World Peace would so flagrantly elbow an opponent to the head in celebration of his own dunk

  12. MiA Says:

Probably literally. Reginald Denny can barely walk, and speak now.

Reading about the riots on Wiki, and I feel a little sick this morning now.

  13. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

such a great movie, auntie em. was part of a movie rotation where I lived in college too. easily one of my favorite coen bros. flicks

  14. Robear Says:

Sorry MiA. I hate to bring it up. I’m not sure if the Denny camp has an Al Sharpton on their side.

    New post>>>>

  15. [Not Tom] Says:

Fletch got played almost as much

  16. [Not Tom] Says:

its weird how short the IT Waves can be when it’s simply on in the background

  17. viola Says:

    “when you’re getting pelted with shit-balls … you gotta get a shit-bat”

  18. MiA Says:

The 9 minutes of Gumbo jam goes by too fast. Have to keep replaying it.

  19. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

anyone catch mad men last night? I missed it but apparently roger sterling and his wife dance with lucy and it brings them some clarity or something. positive representations of lsd on mainstream tv? what’s this world coming to?

  20. [Not Tom] Says:

    @Sumo

i am very impressed by how often you make the drive from Western Mass to Boston to see live music. Bravo!

I saw RodGab at the first Hangout Fest, they are super fun. They did Orion by Metallica which was cool.
