    Thanks, Mr. Miner!

kinda weird that the trayvon martin thing is happening about the same time 20 yrs later as rodney king

i love that juxtaposition of the dream team with rodney king

    great metaphor

  3. Robear Says:

Silly, I love trains of thought that start at A and travel to B.

  4. SillyWilly Says:

    Me too, Robear.

I’m a natural introvert so I think I get my jollies on pure thought

  9. MiA Says:

See ya there Tela’s. Selector needs to get some dissertation writing done here pretty soon so he can go. Right Selector?

  10. Phamily Berzerker Says:

  12. tela'smuff Says:

    @MiA. nice! Denver afterwards?

  13. Jtran Says:

    Morning comrades

Posting on the first page, just like old times on the east coast

  14. [Not Tom] Says:

Have been expecting Miner’s “the phuture” article for several days now…

  15. garretc Says:

Robear acting the BB Cassandra on the last post… Haha

  16. garretc Says:

“A ferocious, mid-90s version from the Pacific Northwest. You guys never knew how good you had it up there!”

But what have they done for me lately?

  17. [Not Tom] Says:

@ Tela’s – ’99 is also a year for which Shapiro and the band have been pretty stingy – very little in the way of official or archival releases for ’99. They are sitting on a pile of gold and they known it too.

  18. Robear Says:

Jtran, did you see the list I made you for our impending visit?

  19. [Not Tom] Says:

speaking of Shapiro and the Band – they are beginning to adopt the George Lucas method of cash flows.

They hook with FREE Live Bait 128/256 MP3s – now they will sell you the FLAC/ALAC versions of the same for $13, as well as HD files for Junta.

The revenue stream is deep and wide. Can’t wait to drop $99 for the Big Cypress box set whenever it comes out.

  20. Robear Says:

I sent Tweets to @shapsio asking him to offer FLAC/ALAC of Live Bait series for a fee.

    I think it’s great.

  21. Phamily Berzerker Says:

The future is never in the present…

  22. MiA Says:

Hmm. Gotta drive Selector back to Austin on the 30th after the zoo. Then fly out the 31st to Denver. Hadn’t thought of that. Or fly from Oklahoma to Denver would work also. Had thought about campin’ out a Dick’s too if I drive.

For people who went to Dick’s last year, what was the feedback on the camping arrangements?

  23. angryjoggerz Says:

    the future was now

  24. MiA Says:

    Thanks for doing that Robear.

I bought those FLAC Live Bait last week, then looked at the reviews for the series.

I couldn’t believe the number of folks complaining about it. Seriously, idiotic people out there at times.

  25. Robear Says:

MiA, all the PT douches were bitching too.

“Hey I thought these used to be free! WTF!”

No one bothers to point out that the mp3s are still free. Only charging for lossless. Which the band has always done.
