Ten For Tuesday

Bethel Woods (Michael Mesenbourg)

Mike’s Song -> Breathe Jam ” 10.25.95 II, St.Paul, MN

A relic from the day when “Mike’s Song” had jams. In this Fall ’95 incarnation, Trey annihilates the opening segment moving to his mini kit as the band moves further and further into experimental territory. Slipping into abstraction, they pass smoothly into an instrumental interpretation of Pink Floyd’s “Breathe.”

Simple > McGrupp” 10.26.96 II, Charlotte, NC

This is but one of many standout “Simples” along the road of Fall ’96, and served as the centerpiece of Charlotte’s Fall ’96 stop.

Weekapaug -> Mango Song” 11.25.94 II, Chicago, IL

Concluding our patchwork “Mike’s Groove,” here is the unique segue and song pairing that followed “Harpua” at UIC in Fall ’94.

My Left Toe -> Whipping Post” 7.25.99 II, Noblesville, IN

In a stunning piece of first-set improvisation, Phish built their abstract Summer ’99 vehicle into a legit take on the Allman’s classic. This jam came out of nowhere at the beginning of the show at Deer Creek, foreshadowing one of Summer ’99’s best outings.

Tweezer -> Makisupa” 10.22.95 II, Champaign, IL

Another buck-wild, Fall ’95 throwdown to follow up yesterday’s “Tweezer” from the same tour.

Stash” 12.5.97 II, Cleveland, OH

Behind the dance-party funk of Fall, “Stash” made a huge splash every time it dropped. Here is the second set opener of the consistently underrated show from Cleveland State. Though this version doesn’t stray too far from structure, it absolutely slays from start to finish.

    Morning comrades

Spinning this 96 Simple right now, love the percussive grooves they hit on that fall tour. Next up the Tweezer from yesterday Robear pamps.

  3. Jtran Says:

someone yesterday said they did NT

  4. MiA Says:

AAPL from 620 down to 560. As PG stated, there is a lot of fast money in the stock right now. Concern on earnings growth coming in (like every quarter). If it breaks 550, I’m accumulating.

Apple is currently 36% of the S&P500 earnings.

  5. Jtran Says:

    Happy bday Garret!

  6. [Not Tom] Says:

Great. Just great. I see that tix for both Oak Mtn and Lakewood go on sale this Friday at the same time. They couldn’t put one of them at 11 am instead? #damnittohell

  7. [an unrelated] Wilson Says:

    $535 order. $140 cc hold.
as expected, shut out on BGCC. par for the course in 3.0.

  8. Jtran Says:

Emails will probably go out tonight or tomorrow if tickets are on sale Friday, right?

  9. acleo Says:

Obama is in NC talking education about and economics grabbing the 18-24 vote, throwing down Amens…Romney needs to step his game up….

  10. voopa Says:

“you will be notified of your order status by 11:59 PM on April 26th.”

  11. acleo Says:

I got holds, half of order.

  12. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    Feliz Cumpleaños, GC!

  13. acleo Says:

    @[not] feel you on ^

  14. Kaveh Says:

I have a hold: looks like my one ticket each night for BGCC or one ticket each night for Dick’s came through. Unless it got split up in a different way with two for St. Louis and one for the another night. We will see.

  15. [an unrelated] Wilson Says:

I’m sorry, but in 3.0 i am yet to receive one single damn desirable PTBM ticket. Not a single bloody one. Even the “good” shows I did hit in the lottery came in the form of lawn tickets or an upper level/behind the stage seat in some damn arena. F this.

  16. [Not Tom] Says:

The only PTBM that I’ve gotten in 3.0 have been lawn tix or gen admin. Most of the time I’ve gotten nothing and had to work 2 computers on the on-sale dates to try to get decent seats.

  17. voopa Says:

I can relate W. I even got shut put of Shoreline by PTBM.

  18. ma Says:

    NTM…lakewood is friday at 10:00, not 11

worth watching if you are into cool views of our planet from space

  21. [an unrelated] Wilson Says:

maybe I’m wrong. maybe i got one night (2 tix) of BGCC, but i doubt it. Pretty sure the two tickets I landed are Long Beach and the Zoo. I hope I’m wrong because I’d rather not spend $500+ dollars seeing phish a mile from my own f’n home.

  22. madmax76 Says:

You shouldn’t have to apologize wilson. We are victims of some capitalistic money grubbing ticket horders…who don’t even care about the music…we should be frustrated …. red light sould do something or we need to use our political power to change this! Phish phans are not alone in this. Lots of people get hosed.

  23. ma Says:

to be more clear, oak mtn is at 11:00 est, 10:00 cdt

  24. [Not Tom] Says:

@ ma – right. I wrote “they COULDN’T put one of them (meaning Oak Mtn or Lakewood) at 11am”

Both oak mtn and Lakewood tix go on sale at the exact same moment making it very hard to get good tix for both shows.

  25. [Not Tom] Says:

Aha! Great – I thought the times listed on the main TM page were all eastern time zone – didn’t realize they showed the local time.

Perfect. Grab Lakewood then grab Oak Mtn an hour later. Thanks ma!
