I admire the AJ doesn’t know who Peter Frampton is actually.
My father owned that album, and he wore it out on his “hi-fi” He also wore out Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” and Loggin’s and Messina Live album.
I think my Dad snuck off and smoked pot occasionally. Never broached it with him, but he is very pro-legalization (from a conservative kinda William F. Buckley” sort of approach.)
Slick, r u doing ‘stream all’ from the laptop or the iPhone?
yum. this 7.23.97 ghost is hitting the spot. best ever contender. certainly epic length.
Energetic for sure Kaya.
After coming back from Europe they were playing Ghost every other show, or in the case of Atlanta then Dallas, back to back.
Robear It does not seem to be working on iPhone or iPad . Gonna get my a/v tech on it
SF info:
“Park 55” is sometimes a bit cheaper than some of the boutique and wanna be luxury hotels in SF — and its tromping distance from BGC
its a huge hotel right downtown that a lot of biz folks use, but due to its size its easy to blend in, in the “lost in the crowd” with 5-8 lanes of check in at the front desk
eats: Woodhouse Fish Co. one on Fillmore and one on Market
these guys dungenous crab roll is off the charts, lobster roll too
http://woodhousefish.com
they also bring you a do it yourself Arnold Palmer kit complete with simple syrup on the side
while at “Fisherman’s Wharf” i dig “Nick’s Lighthouse” at pier 39. you can get your breadbowl of chowder or crab cocktail to go, served from the kiosk outside, and find a place to chow it down, or go in and sit.
asian: Vietnamese/French for a nice sitdown meal, and the upstairs turns into a dance club: “Le Colonial” http://lecolonialsf.com/
cheaper eats: “Yellow Submarine” 503 Irving. at 6th get the Pepper Steak. i need to get back and try the Pastrami. Family owned, Mama in back making secret sauces. all sando’s toasted
Indian: Dosa http://dosasf.com/ big and shiny, 2 location, not your underground ethnic food type of place – but its bigjig approved 😉
#delicious
Anyone need a LB floor?
@slick – please tell me you’re kidding me and the world isn’t that small. Do you remember me asking “do we have beef?” and then holding out cash to pay for dry cleaning the jacket? I just wanted to squash it quick…i felt bad and yall were not happy. There were a few of you so I thought for sure I was gonna get cheap shotted.
‘The judge decreed it, the clerk he wrote it!’ Thanks for a great weekend @alf. 5am and still hadn’t hit the shakedown, too much set two left for me with a kid waking up in 3 hours.
By the way for all the beer lovers on the board, DFH Hellhoud On My Ale is pretty ok.
Jtran, you’ve got email, and did you see my post earlier about the Friday ticket for my dad? If not, essentially what it said was: Friday is fine, no need to seek out a Fri for Sat trade on his behalf.
@Miner,
I went back and read your PLAF warfield stuff this weekend and I have to say, that closing segment about how you felt walking back outside left me with chills. What a ridiculous thing to have seen in person. Ultimate envy. What a beautiful 3 days of extra special something.
