A pretty good history of Chicago house music. Even shouts out the old rave even system I worked for (E-System, I know, clever). Enjoy.
good to know Leo.
Not Like I will k now aside form the anecdotal evidence of associates.
Maybe it’s just the end of my week and I’ve had some beers, but that Ted trailer made me laugh
AW, go to Spiritulaized. That is all.
Glad we’ve gotten past humanity saving for the day. Bummer Board isn’t the escape I need from suicide and eating disorders…
Looking forward to finally spinning all these jams tomorrow
They’re playing Monday in NYC. Strongly considering it
@drp
this should be more up your alley (pardon the commercial)
I need to bookmark AJ’s link.
David Wilcox Concert with the wife. You have to buy a full bottle of wine, no glasses.
#winning.
Bummer Board… Haha. Good on Dr.p
Where is the Spiritualized show in NYC?
Bought a spiritualized ticket from a 70 year old dude that told me he checked photos to see what side Jason was on but I already forgot
Dude was stoked
Time for proper head adjustment. May have to splash in a puddle.
New Haven Tweez! Nice!
Wow lots to read here today.
Keep on keepin’ on, folks.
Terminal 5 mr p
Which along with the next 2 nights working late has me hesitating
this tweezer reminds me of that unadulterated phish energy in 94-95, when fish’s kit seemed more explosive and just completely in synch with trey at every nuance … just got my chaifetz GA in the mail, hoping for a sneaky tuesday night in st louis to redeem fox 09
Nope AW, I don’t know. They’re still in the very early stages of putting the fund together, it looks like I’ll be helping in the econometrics type stuff of putting strategy together?
But I’m sure I’ll know more soon.
In la jolla for the prancer musical in t minus 1 hour. Will report back
May god have mercy on your soul, Jtran.
We will pray for your survival.
Nah, just kidding, I’m sure it’ll be just fine! Enjoy!

@Mr P…I’ve had Lyme 3 times in the last 10 years, antibiotics, no biggie. Lyme, CT is a few towns over from us. It really only is a problem if untreated.
Ticks are going to be very bad this year on account of the warm Winter. There’s a thing called “Tick Ranger”, a green treatment for the lawn you could look in to.
We’ll likely do it next year as the little will be out there quite a bit. The woods and the wetlands bordering my backyard, what in the old days they’d call a stinking swamp, are full of those little fuckers.
it’s the beginning of a new age…

Thoughts on the last time I saw Spiritualized:
The screaming comes across the sky
A hundred tons of boiling vapors
Coming right at you, 140 decibels an hour
Fecund with fury, and not a little backbeat.
As this phoenix folds its wings
A brief break; the sound of gently falling cinders.
Rising to the pulpit one J Spaceman,
Choir in tow. His is an angry and
Lonely God—Part Yahweh, part Mithras.
Dirges of lost love eke their way gingerly
Around judicious catastrophes of feedback—
Basslines running around with their hair on fire
Guitar solos flashing in gamelan bursts of light
The whole place is alive with mergatrons,
Tintinnabulators, and myriad other imaginary particles.
“Blow it sad and sweet, Mr. Spaceman!”
Vigor and entropy oppose in either battle or ballet.
Heartbreak has never been so deafening
Nor so exhilarating. We are spiritualized.
Whoa
Nice, Tzara’s
love some original lines on the BB
Hey everyone
my bad on starting the deep conversations the last couple of days.
I don’t want to get the reputation that I’m always preaching or being a bummer, but I still steer the conversation that way. I’m not really like this in person, I’ve just been thinking about all these issues a lot lately.
I don’t want to take away from everyones’ enjoyment of the board. It is a Phish blog after all.
I’ll chill out for awhile, now.
Did everybody but me already know that they’re saying “Hannibal Lector” in the 12/30/97 I Know I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)?
‘Cause I think that’s pretty funny…
No Silly. Your the man. Don’t stop. You make everyone on here think, which is a good thing.
Devils/ Flyers 1st OT.
Also Lee Fields at Licoln hall next wednesday chi-town.
