    thanks @silly, dr pro.

Silly, we are all on a different part of our trip. I for one like hearing where people are in their outlook and journey. Us old guys can learn and be reminded of things we’ve let slide in our life and thinking just as much as the whippersnappers can gain wisdom, and tour protips, from the elders. It’s all a big amazing conversation here at its best, and I know we all appreciate that or we wouldn’t be here. Even though I don’t understand a word of the hockey or finance stuff.

And don’t worry about the Phish diversions, those dudes barely play anymore anyway.

Well Garretc, can’t speak for everyone, but I was aware of it. Yes, it is funny.

Good luck at the Hedge Fund. I’m sure it will be a great experience, which is the point after all. One piece of advice…check the ego ( not saying you have one, just in general) at the door. You will probably be going on many coffee runs and bs like that. It’s how that business works. Put your time in, listen, and learn and they will eventually see what you can do.

Trust me, i started as an intern in ’93 and started working full time in summer ’95. I got coffee and lunches for 2 years, they are testing you. If you can’t take it, they know your not cut out for it. You’ll do fine.

sillywilly – i love your perspective, and really appreciated the debate yesterday. i really find it very unique, and different than my own, but in a good way, with opinions based on strong evidence that makes me challenge the way i think.

i hope i didnt come off as douchey myself to be honest, i went back and read and felt rude about a few of my statements.

    hope all’s well with everyone.

  13. SillyWilly Says:
