Life is the the best sport I know how to play.

The rules are nebulous. The teams are as such as well.

In the end your reward is death.

    Game on, Fothermuckers!!

  2. snowbank Says:

So should you suffer too because the Thai girls are being raped @SW? Isn’t their suffering enough for what happens to them?
What if they are actually happier than you because they don’t worry about the rest of the world’s problems?

  3. Willowed Says:

I could loop the After Midnight jam over an over for the rest of my life and be completely content!

  4. Willowed Says:

I’m sure you know which one I am talking about.

If not, I feel sorry for you.

  5. MiA Says:

    Willowed nailed it. Great jam.

  6. Phamily Berzerker Says:

I want to be scared by phish music again.

I “hope” it happens live and in concert.

I have little “faith” it will.

  7. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
    Only I will remain.

  8. RoosterPizza Says:

    THanks selector!

  9. Multibeast Says:

  10. Willowed Says:

    The penitent man will pass
    The penitent man will pass
    The penitent man will pass
    The penitent man will pass

NTM, will any of this matter 25 billion years from now? Too easy.

100 years from now none of this will matter.

Everyone who knew us personally will be gone; few of us will leave a lasting record or create any sort of permanent art. Our kids will be dead and so will some of their kids. Every last goddamned shareholder of the company making my life hell will be dead and every short-sighted decision made in service to those assholes will have vanished both from memory and from the written record. Every gadget or technology we idolize and depend on– even maybe the combustion engine car– will be as obsolete as the horse and carriage.

(Which means, by extension, that the only place you will see an iPad will be at a Royal wedding, or being carried around ironically by some oil-punk Hipster.)

So anyway I’m playing hooky the rest of the afternoon, taking my son to his tabla lesson, then hitting up the Shpongle show tonight. Should spend the rest of the day firmly in the Now.

    Let’s hope not. 😉

Got to work and realized I did not bring my computer. I am a genius. Made the best of it and went home.

Its 87 and humid here today. Going to see Spiritualized tonight, very excited. That new album is, by far, my most spun album of the year so far. Just hits right.

  18. Robear Says:

So, the State is providing a new wheel chair for my son. Free of charge for us. The State and the local organizations for kids like my son, have been superb to us.

It’s taken some trial and error tests, but we finally found a perfect chair for him. His old one will be sent to a third world country. They can’t be used here because of insurance regs and replacement part issues.

  19. Jtran Says:

Shpongle in Burlington tonight plord, awesome. Forgot about that. Let me know how it is

  20. albert walker Says:

you get tickets AJ? looks like they stopped selling online

really is a brilliant album. it’s pop and melodic sensibilities made me want to hate it but it kept sucking me in. the subtle guitar tone coloring is on every track though once you dig in and creates some pretty interesting arrangements.

I hate the metro and rarely leave the crib but I’m leaning towards maybe heading up there

  21. angryjoggerz Says:

yeah, I grabbed one last week. You should hit it!

  22. albert walker Says:

  23. Leo Weaver Says:

Good convo today. Wish I had time to throw my thoughts in the mix, but alas…too busy making a few bucks so I can operated in our questionable and capital driven social structure.

Y’all check out the Budos Band when ya get a chance. I think most will enjoy ’em. They’re on Spotify.

  24. lumpyhead Says:

  25. DaNcInG fOoL Says:
