I love antibiotics. The less time I’m sick, the better I feel. One of the only Western meds I’m down with.

+1 for a Stanky Danky post. Maybe All Time Makisupas?

I’m looking to buy a decent set of headphones in the $100-$150 range. Any suggestions?

I feel like you lived by me kaya. Lived across the street from a creek, and beyond the creek was The Woods. Spent half my childhood there. Caught crayfish in the creek by hand. Also caught little catfish and some very weird simpsons style hybrid fish. Huge bullfrogs, and once, a dark black enormous frog with red eyes. In one part of The Woods was a place we called Yodaland that we didn’t go to often. YodaLand was a special, scary place. Slabs of concrete for sitting, vines hanging from the trees, fog surrounding that special area. And of course, porn. We’d steal the neighbors morning papers and start huge fires, then get chased by Old Man Crucial. My brothers and I owned those woods and I am so thankful to have grown up near them.

So I’m listening to the Bomb Factory second set at work and one of my employees walks in my office right as they drop into Purple Rain. Needless to say she was pretty thrown and I think I’ve done my daily freaking out of the staff for the day.

  12. kayatosh Says:

bingos: you’re speaking my language. that was my youth. wild and wooly. got on my bike at dawn and returned at dusk. dad workin too hard to know anything about it. Mom so overworked she had to trust that I was OK. The woods was the life.

  13. kayatosh Says:

when you’re the eldest of three boys, by a certain age you’re left to your own devices.

  14. kayatosh Says:

bomb factory set II — gets the elusive fourth $. $$$$

Set 2: Loving Cup > Sparkle > Tweezer -> Sparks -> Makisupa Policeman -> Digital Delay Loop Jam -> Sweet Emotion Jam -> Walk Away-> Cannonball Jam -> Purple Rain > Hold Your Head Up Jam -> Tweezer Reprise

I can remember where I was and how i felt when I heard this set on tape. Phish became legend in my mind.

  17. BingosBrother Says:

Oldest of 4 here kaya. Can’t believe the rope my parents gave me. one time I went for a bike ride on one of the hottest summer days. just rode and rode for hours. got back and went blind for hours. Heatstroke. Probably should’ve died. my vision came back eventually. Scary fucking day, but so fucking free.

  18. kayatosh Says:

bingos: it seems we share a similar past path. Those rough and tumble days shaped me profoundly. You play any stickball, perhaps (pinky ball)? Or was it baseball bats and tennis balls?

  19. kayatosh Says:

btw: epic TT session in progress

  20. tela'smuff Says:

do wet wipes fall under the antibiotics umbrella?

  21. BingosBrother Says:

Played a lot of Wallball at school, after school. tennis ball hit with your hands, kinda like raquetball. You miss, and you have to stand on the wall and get pegged. a lot of 500. running Bases. Wiffle Ball. Weren’t allowed to have real baseballs, cause we always broke windows.

  22. dorn76 Says:

looks tasty, @kaya. My price, too.

Hope the market is doing your bidding.

  23. kayatosh Says:

    cheers.

    it’s all in your head

  24. Guyute711 Says:

The woods and stoop ball were the fun things to do as a kid. “Stay away from the railroad tracks!!!” Sure I will, sure I will.

  25. BingosBrother Says:

Wet Wipes are essential, so yes.
