Ghost” 7.3.97 II, Nuremburg, GR

Euro ’97 “Ghosts” were slow, funky and exploratory, as Phish honed their new jam vehicle before coming stateside.

Bathtub Gin” 10.1.99 I, Ames, IA

A first set smoker from the heartland in ’99. We came out to a smashed window and many things stolen from our car before the all-night drive to Minneapolis. Fuckin’ wooks…

  4. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

  5. Mr.Miner Says:

  6. marcoesq Says:

    Poor D Rose…cursed?

In other news, poor Steve Blake..he never intended on EVER getting this much publicity since he left Maryland 10yrs ago

  7. kenny powers Says:

Someone had mentioned/joked a couple weeks back how cool a Sabotage opener would be. Then I thought, “hm, maybe then something also dark and raging…say Wilson”.

Then I listened in my head to those “da-da! ch ch ch ch da-da!” power chords/notes (?) from Sabotage that close the song out…are they not just about the same notes and played the same way as the opening Wilson notes?!?!?

What a sick segue that would be!

  8. kenny powers Says:

Sabotage -> Wilson -> Buried Alive -> (blat boom return of) Wilson

  9. kenny powers Says:

one can dream. probably get a Crowd Control for all i know.

  10. voopa Says:

    RIP Donna Summer

  11. MiA Says:

    TTFW FTW

Rip Donna Summer. Wow that was young.

  12. marcoesq Says:

Wilson>Last Dance (Donna Summers version)>Last Dance (Neil Young version)

  13. Dr Pronoia Says:

    And congrats purple too!

Nope my summer starts at AC1. Anyone driving down from NYC?

  14. Mr. False Bravado Says:

That’s some serious opener action KP. Did you get to see the Hall of Fame Beasty induction? I thought they nailed it.

  15. phoammhead Says:

when jpmorgan loses huge on bad trade . . . is there a gain somewhere else . . . does some firm or other traders reap a huge gain?

  16. Mr palmer Says:

    Hey all!

Heading into NYC in a bit. Meeting some folks at Sirius/XM, hopefully be able to land a gig.

Meeting Mango around 6 in midtown for drinks before Scratch if anyone is out and about.

  17. Dr Pronoia Says:

Fuck. It’s my Mr Mom day of the week to run the nighttime routine while Mrs Pronoia is at school — otherwise I’d love to catch a drink with you two

  18. Kaveh Says:

Good morning BBers. Drive by…STILL nothing quite as magical as a 97 Hood.

  19. Mr. False Bravado Says:

    Land that job Mr. P.

  20. voopa Says:

@phoamm – it depends. Our whole sector is down today because a competitor had a bad quarter.

I suspect many folks are putting cash toward the FB IPO, which will cause all sorts of turmoil elsewhere.

  21. Kaveh Says:

@KP: Good call…there will be a Beasties tribute cover to Worcester. Very good call.

  22. Phamily Berzerker Says:

“I suspect many folks are putting cash toward the FB IPO, which will cause all sorts of turmoil elsewhere.”

Gotta get the simulated value and take a gain before fit hits the shan.

  23. phoammhead Says:

    i see @voopa

hard for me to fathom . . . wrap my simple mind around all these numbers being tossed around

  24. kenny powers Says:

@Kaveh i can’t take credit for that call but yes indeed it would be nice. seeing as how Trey is used to singing/screaming that one i guess.

  25. phlorida phan Says:

Fishman doing paul revere would be sweet, since boston being close and all
