  5. xpun Says:

yeah, could have been much worse. just a splint for a few weeks. his cousin fell off same swing last month and has been in a cast since.

dont know if you meant it to be or not mia, but that was the perfect positive response. accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. thanks

Your kid will become ambidextrous beacause of this and save the universe.

  7. xpun Says:

so i detest signs, glowsticks, laser pointers, talking, etc at shows as much as the next guy but i do have 2 ideas for signs this summer

my first is “–>JAM” and i can just go stand beside everyone else that brought their own signs for particular songs

mia’s post got me thinking that when they play halley’s we should get a sign that says “stay in F”

given the recent release of the hampton/ws box set i’m sure the band would get it and possibly give it

  8. jerseyjim Says:

wrt signs, i think we should bring a sign that says “Play Something We Know”

long story, but we used to yell this at my college friends acoustic bar shows in the Philly ‘burbs – he played mostly cover tunes, and more and more original stuff, which we liked and all, but of course we wanted to hear GD tunes. He knew us well, and waited until the last 2 or 3 songs to play “Oh the Wind and Rain” or UJB, but in the meantime, we were buying pitchers, having fun, and still showing up every wednesday. We are loyal, but predictable.

anyway, in the spirit of “Primus Sucks” and instead of calling for random, lame Van Morrison tunes, we would just yell “Play Something We Know” as an inside joke that he knew quite well, but other folks probably thought we were just obnoxious, which we were. But he would eventually submit, and play GD, or Allman Bros, or Wind Cries Mary.

so for signs…it’s PLAY SOMETHING WE KNOW, which might piss Phish off enough to avoid the other signs…

sorry for the long post…won’t fit on a poster.

    Sunday morning coming down.

  10. Mr. Palmer Says:

finally have the kids trained to stay in bed until 7:30 on the weekends. Now i have this stupid puppy that wakes up at 6am on the button anyway.
In the immortal words of Forrest Gump…” I’m not a smart man”

12/29/98 and coffee are powering me through this am, before having to attend a baby christening…joy.

Xpun- glad your kiddo is ok. nothing worse than that. Hate the ER.

Went out to my buddy’s house for Sat night beatmaking last night and was coming back in a cab and almost got shot. We were at a stop sign and to my left about 1/4 block down some gangbangers started to shoot at each other and running towards us. I got down in the back of the cab, the driver totally froze. After they ran by I told him to floor it, and he did. Sadly, this was 2 blocks from my house. Fuck gangs and fuck guns. I wish the city could lock this shit down like they have lock down the city center for Nato.

  12. halcyon Says:

Glad to hear your safe AJ! Hug your loved ones, call an old friend today!

  13. MiA Says:

    Gangs suck.

  14. viola Says:

“so you think you can dance at an outside music festival”

  15. viola Says:

the sample in the jar dancer made a few too many gay faces for my liking

he was on shrooms and dancing with a garbage bag he found. i died laughing

  16. viola Says:

  18. Mr palmer Says:

Looking forward to next 4 weeks.

1 Radiohead show and 3 phish shows.

    The time is certainly near.

  19. joe Says:

less than 3 weeks away. FYI – Joe’s taxi service has room for 1 or two more depending on if you have bags. noon’sh departure from logan on Thursday.

guess that means I should start looking for tickets. Think I’m going old school and getting outside the building. Just me solo on Thursday. More planning needed for Friday since I have a few people with me that night.

  20. joe Says:

    getting tickets, that is.

  21. Gavinsdad Says:

Joe – I may have as many as 4 Worcesters depending. I’ll know as soon as I have them in hand (ptbms) if they are seats they will be damn good. If they are floors they won’t be for sale. Will keep u posted.

  22. Gavinsdad Says:

    ^4 per nite.

  23. Gavinsdad Says:

@guyute – if you wanna get punched in the face by spot on retro metal stylings (sabbath/hawkwind/dust/pentagram) look no further than DANAVA.

So sick. They have a few albums on Spotify.

  24. dognamedwilson Says:

“the sample in the jar dancer made a few too many gay faces for my liking”

i am going to do my best not to provoke or antagonize while asking you to explain this in hopes that it is in reference to the South Park Harley riders

otherwise, this may be one of those situations where a hypersensitive person finds something to be offended by and thinks to himself, “yes this will do, i choose to be offended by this”

please don’t let me be that guy

  25. Xpun Says:

Aj – glad you’re alright. That shit sucks. Guns suck. Sorry you had a shitty ending to what started a great day.

Palmer – thanks. Crazy we were in and out of the ER in under an hour on a sat night for a fractured wrist when it took over 5 a few months back w the daughter when she had her first seizure. We waited over 2 hours just to see the dr the first time to get test ordered etc.

Best thing was I used to work w the PA taking care of him and had her tell him no DS for two weeks. Plays that shit nonstop w his mom. He bought it. Hope she holds him to it. Little zombie w that thing.
