All anyone has to do to enter is write a short, two-to-three paragraph essay about why they are so passionate about Phish. if the days were years, tour is now jail bait!

  6. xpun Says:

silly – vibes, melt their faces

took all the kids on the house hunt yesterday, one of the houses on our short list of three came down nearly 10% in price last week, it was the unanimous choice among everyone yesterday. sacrificing the bigger yard, but everything else is so much better. it also is brand new with no one in it, so our realtor thinks we may be able to work a deal where we can rent for 90 days then buy when our loan goes through.

crosses fingers and toes, but never crosses the streams

  7. MiA Says:

Cross you eyes and dot your T’s.

Good vibes to Silly and Xpun. The universe is lining up in ways to make you successful long term.

    Pronoia.

  10. marcoesq Says:

    morning all.

    no ptbm tix yet

  11. [Not Tom] Says:

They are waiting ’til the last moment, I guess. Probably in some backwards-ass attempt to limit scalping of them.

  12. Phlorida Phan Says:

Tickets will begin shipping May 24th, 2012 , for leg one. Tickets will begin shipping August 1st, 2012, for leg two

  13. [Not Tom] Says:

Once again I should have read the book.

  14. punkmug Says:

Speaking of Jail Bait, when is the next Live Bait going to drop!?

  15. [Not Tom] Says:

laughing at the falling price of FB – a company whose IPO has occurred while the company in bubble mode – ridiculous valuation for something that doesn’t really do anything, except in virtuality. If any of you are holding it, please pardon my dig.

  16. marcoesq Says:

I was thinking about scalping over the weekend after I refused to buy $120 tickets to see the Black Keys on Friday. Side note, bunch of custies trying to make some $$ on these Keys shows. 😉

The new, you have to personally show up to venue with your CC and photo ID, system is good but sucks for people that legimately can’t make it to the show and would have to end up eating their tix if they can’t make it to venue to meet person they’re selling to. Anything that prevents you from being in town will insure that you can not sell the tickets.

What I was thinking was this; a company like Paypal could serve as an escrow account where the tickets and monies are held until that person is ready to go to the show. IF you need to sell your tickets, you have the buyer put their FACE VALUE $$ into this escrow account, you approve it and then they are allowed to take the tickets day of show. Paypal charges like $1.95 for their services. That way it would eliminate scalping while also giving people the option of selling their tickets if they really need to.

I believe this would cut out so much of this bullshit:

    “You going to Alpine?”
“Eh, probably not but I put in for 10 mail order w/ fam’s CC#’s, I can dump em for $100/piece”

    Long post, over.

  17. xpun Says:

    not me not tom

    leg 2 i assumed

  18. marcoesq Says:

This 8.13 Mike’s is so filthy, haven’t listened to the whole thing in a minute.

  19. Luther T. Justice Says:

Good luck @ Silly! You’ll do great. Just stay cool, relaxed & confident (or just act like you are). The human resource person who interviewed me for my first job after college at an advertising agency ended up being a Deadhead. Don’t know how we got on the subject, but I promised her some SBD tapes (it was way back in ’95) and got the job. You never know.

    @xpun
I bought a house this year and they let me stay rent free while the loan went through. There was some mistake from 20 years ago they discovered during the title search, which resulted in a 3 month wait for the closing. Got three free months ‘o living. All of what I saved went towards closing costs, but money saved none the less.

  20. xpun Says:

oops should have read the replies before posting

  21. xpun Says:

luther – thats awesome, free living, cant beat that

our landlord of 6 years who has been totally cool, we don’t bug him he doesn’t bug us, had agreed to let us stay month to month after this month while we shopped. he called saturday to say he had rented the place and we have to be out in 6-25. so we are super stressed because our loan is going to take 90 days- wife had a bogus charge on credit report that we got cleared, but have to wait for the score to rebound. so hopefully the universe smiles upon us. i have faith

  22. Robear Says:
