You know phish is killing it when Heavy Things not only get doesn’t get skipped, but you look forward to hearing Trey rip the solo.

Who besides Purp is doing JB? Alf- you in? Sumo?

  2. stapes Says:

So true Mr P! I was jamming to the HT last night. Trey sounds great

  3. GhostPhunk Says:

@TIII. I remember that K-Zoo show being blast. These eras are totally different beasts.

Awesome weekend! Atlantic City is the weirdest place in the world. Great seeing all you guys again, and meeting some new kids. Selecta is the man. Thanks to Alf and Silly for another smooth weekend of Phish.

and happy birthday to Robear’s daughter! (and me)

    Atlantic City Birds!

that actually supports my point. I wasn’t there and honestly couldn’t say that I’ve ever heard the tape of it. I’m sure it was a great night and for at least one person there it may have been their best night ever. My point was just to say that the sky isn’t falling and that in the midst of top notch tour runs there will always be shows that don’t meet the lofty expectations of the phanbase.

All I have to say is that Drowned>2001>Reba HAD the makings of being a most epic set, for sure. That pairing was sublime. And from where I was standing, Roses actually sounded like Ghost for a minute. So I was under the impression we were about to get crushed.

Sometimes, I feel like Trey wants to teach us a lesson, though. He was probably like, “Listen, we just kicked you down 2 fun ass nights and one epic Birds jam, now you guys need to get your bearings and chill out on your way outta here.” Stupid Trey, teaching lessons

  10. Mr. Palmer Says:

happy birthday ,DF. great cal on the hearing the 1/1/11 Simple jam in the Birds. Didn’t notice it at all until you pointed it out, around the 12:18 mark.

I just sent my wife an email asking for permission to make a kamikaze Star Lake>Blossom run. Wish me luck boys and girls! (yeah, I’m a puss, I was afraid to ask her face to face)

  12. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    happy happy, fool

I borrowed a lighter. She thought you had nugs. She asked if she could have some and I said “ya sure” trying to get her to leave me alone and figuring our crew would pass around her and she’d go away.

Next thing I know she’s shaking you down and telling me you aren’t sharing. I tell her it’s a j and to just wait til one gets passed.

Fast forward to the next time I’m at the booth. I’m ripped. She walks right up to me and I think she’s about to yell at me at the booth and she holds up a keychain from the table and looks me in the eyes. “I want this, I have 3 dollars, do we have a deal?” me having just avoided conflict was like “ya whatever lady” so she gives me a piece of candy. Inside I’m just laughing that she’s at the booth after that just happened.

Fast forward to AW lighting a j and this lady comes out of nowhere again saying she smelled us. She goes next to AW and is looking at me like I’m supposed to tell him she’s cool. He goes past her to me and she stops him. He’s cracking up “sorry lady, you’re below my line of sight”

There was absolutely no shame in her game. I’m still laughing at her with her metal pipe asking for a fill. Dan comes over “get it, she saw your clothes and wanted to be ironic putting these nugs in that thing”

    Fun times

Didn’t get to meet selector j. Wanted to catch a live dub sesh

  15. Guyute711 Says:

Now I’m beginning to think that’s the same chick that gave me some stupid rock I was supposed to hold on to. Anyone get home past 11:30 last night? What a horrendous drive back.

  16. bob dylan Says:

    Niiice, it’s working…

I left a Woosta cd in my girls car. Put it right at the hot carini jam and left it there.

I get a text this morn “I like the wooster show you left in my car. Carini is a good song.”

Seems she likes the music just doesn’t like trey. I told her a lot of us didn’t for the past couple years but he’s jamming again so just ignore the lyrics.

Now maybe I can plan our sf trip around bill graham. Really pull her in. Moahaha

  17. btb Says:

Punkmug – Did you use the phrase “new shit has come to light…man?”. I have found that Lebowski-ism’s work well in real life occasionally 🙂

  18. RicksFork Says:

    Great Odin’s Raven!

I realize I am late to the party here, but that 2nd set from AC1 is absolutely unreal. I could listen to that one over and over again. Must have been phenomenal to be there for it. Hope everyone who made it had a great time. Things are sounding so great right now. Star Lake for me Saturday, and it couldnt come soon enough.

  19. marcoesq Says:

Star Lake! Can’t wait to head into the sticks and see some Phish magic

  20. punkmug Says:

BTB. No, I did not try that. I still have not heard back from her yet. Maybe I can call her and ask her if she has checked her email!

MIA if you’re out there. Do you still have an extra Blossom and Star Lake if I need em?

  21. Guyute711 Says:

Good to see you again Df, happy b-day. Drink a couple Molson Brador’s for me. Hanging out with all the BB’ers has become just as much fun as the shows, was glad to meet some of you that I haven’t hung out with before and spend some time with everyone else who I continue to see on the road. Get your asses down here for the southern run. 🙂

  22. GhostPhunk Says:

That’s just like, your opinion, btb.

  23. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

ok then. who’s got my Thursday DC pav?

  24. marcoesq Says:

    you goin now, Tiii? nice

Last night we got home and my girl was on the Phish Bader site trying to figure out why the ferris wheel didn’t work (Phish didn’t have the right permits), and she was like “Where’s Noblesville? Is that close? We should probably go to there”

  25. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:
