the first set seemed particularly hot for a first set. nice little in Bathtub Gin

Loved that show. Fantastic. No type II do there will be grumpiness from the “they never took it deep” crew.

Lots of fun on couch tour. Brings us all closer on another level.

    Always enjoy Slave.

I’d be more concerned if I was a real OKC fan.

  8. MiA Says:

If Cramer could play that Slave, he’d entertain the fuck out of me.

  9. plord Says:

    That WAS a nice Gin.

  10. tela'smuff Says:

yep. liked the first set. enjoyed the GBOTT, the Limb, and the Maze. Very nice Slave as well. good webcast. hoping by Cincy they’ll be locked and loaded.

  11. MiA Says:

missed the first few songs but loved the show. Feel like they really nailed most of tunes, adding to that feeling that they’re dialed in. Mango was the only exception; Trey was lost, but whatever. I’ve never really been an “antics” fan with these guys, but the antics tonight seemed to liven things up. “you suck at tucking. you suck at tucking.” that shit was funny. made me start to think: maybe they’ve been too up tight the last couple years. anyways good show, and it ended with slave.

  13. sumodie Says:

Dunno if webcasting makes me a bigger fluffer but i srsly dug that set

hugely influenced by split of course, but bott, maze were also esp hot, along with excellent trey soloing in numberline & LxL

antics were a riot too, this time to great effect

again, very enchanted by the closeups of the finger/handwork, a huge webcast plus

  14. cal Says:

AAHAAAHAHAHA! Lotsa laughs on couch tonight. They made it worthwhile for the couch potatoes; thank God I didn’t, y’know, travel for that. Yep, Wilson can still have fun, y’all go tuck yourselves (in). (G’nite)

    MELT

It was an okay show that had its moments. The band lost me during the majority of the first set but the Gin was great with its shifting tempos. It really got me pumped for the second set. The second set started off strong and I really thought things would pick up with Split. While it seemed the band was really trying to break out into something really new and exciting during the jam, they just seemed to be meandering so they wrapped it up. By Number Line they had lost all steam to me. It picked up with all the shennanigens towards the end but by then the whole show seemed to be all over the place with the only breath of fresh air being Gin.

  22. tela'smuff Says:

glad those there enjoyed themselves. webcast was entertaining.

i’ll be interested to read Miner’s take on the Melt. it’s my favorite song, and of course i’ve been foaming at the mouth for a Cincy Melt. this version tonight just didn’t do it for me. found it to be kind of generic, slow ascending/descending notes, cliche type stuff. Agreed with MiA that the rest of the band had nothing for this Melt, and after Trey was done doing the “weird” atonal stuff, it was over. i am hyper critical of the song, and at this point just wish they’d give up on the approach they’ve taken with Melt in 3.0 and go for something out of left field. no question i can see how people had fun at the show with it, and that’s all that matter. just pulling an armchair critique.

Alright, finally done with today’s stuff, and the d/l. Let’s see what all the fuss is about.

  24. Robear Says:

maybe Limb will get a treatment down the tour…..like Birds. ahh, I like the AC Birds.

def fun to do couch tour and crack up with you all.

  25. ElJefe Says:

That was such a fun song filled show, some decent jams and antics. In other words a great Phishing experience. Besides a little buffering problem here and there it was a good webcast too. Great sound, this band is on fire and on point. Least flubs I’ve noticed so far too.
