Stein’s Shots: Best of Leg One

“Steam” – 6.30.12, East Troy, WI

Michael Stein is one of the premiere concert photographers on the scene today. With an impeccable sense of the moment, Stein captures priceless portraits of his subjects time and time again. It just so happens that he is also a huge Phish fan. Hitting the road with the band for most of Leg One, Stein has hand selected a 38-shot gallery that represents his favorite shots of 2012 to share with Phish Thoughts today. I want to personally thank Michael for sharing his work with this site for over three years, and here’s to future collaboration! This post provides a preview, but be sure to CLICK OVER to view the rest of his Leg One gallery!

I’d play golf in SF. Maybe not though I as planning on hitting the yoga practice with some folks and phreaks. All TBD.

I am playing and we have room for many more Friday mid-morning in D-town.

Would be awesome to do a BB golf tourney end of tour.

Nice round MiA. I do more landscaping with my golf clubs than intentional directed golfing. I do have fun though.

it’s dawning on me that i need to be at the SF shows. wife keeps pushing me to do it. i may just book the flights and hotel tonight. f it. you only live once. is it gonna feel wrong to be on the left coast millions of miles away from my family or will it feel revitalizing? i think the latter. This place is an inspiration.

    Way to swing, MiA

Plord, smuggs is one of my favorite places in new England… Especially in the winter when the ice is in. Not sure if it is or not, but there’s a classic ice climb there called “Blue Room” that I’ve decided is named after the orb tune. Having that in my head helped me through the crux my first time up it. Beastly, exposed mother of a route .

Time to take a final. After this I’ll have three more classes ’til an mba…

@xpun consider an old school push mower. Can’t beat it for price, reliability, noise & air pollution and cool factor. It’s a extra work compared to gas but I’ve never seen an electric that was worth a crap. If an electric would be adequate for your application, then an old push mower would prolly be just fine. Go junkin and pick one up for $40

  20. MiA Says:

I’m in Telas. Golf in Denver!

Kaya in “The City” is gonna be fun.

I think I gotta up my wine budget.

    Is Tzaras gonna make it?

  21. RoosterPizza Says:

    Awesome butter and MIA.

Butter, it is fun because now your next goal is to get into the low nineties, so you develop the skills to do that. Then to the high eighties, so you develop the skills for that. It keeps going until you shoot in the seventies, and then everything seems to become a problem again….haha. I am an occasional visitor to the seventies but live in the low/mid eighties.

My mother and father in law are both a 3 handicap, but they breathe golf. My daughter won’t be able to escape golf in either country.

  22. MiA Says:

Congrats T3. That’s great news on the edu front.

  23. MiA Says:

I agree Rooster. Every step is tough and challenging but rewarding.

I’ve been stuck at this same level for 4 years. I am not a great putter. If you want to be a low hdcp, gotta be a good ball striker, get up and down a lot and putt it close.

    That all sounds so easy.

I think butter is a sub 10 hdcp. Vegas is the one moving up in the world. 😉

  24. MiA Says:

I know Pham B is a low hdcp. And Telas.

i can never decide on what the best music is as a soundtrack for test taking. phish is a no go. I get too wrapped up in the music. needs to be more ambient or atmospheric…
