    I will say this though:

Eating chocolate is always good. No matter the context.

  2. kayatosh Says:

    time to disconnect. peace

  3. kayatosh Says:

you might love that chocolate more if you knew the chocolatier died a month after making it.

  4. renaissance79 Says:

Silly-surely you can imagine an unpleasant context within which you could not enjoy the chocolate….but why would you??? OIC

  5. SillyWilly Says:

    I know a few facts.

Chocolate feels good on my tongue and in my belly.

I want to sleep in tomorrow.

I’m still in Denver and Light is still playing (prove me wrong)

Found an old vinyl mix AW made a while back. Not a No whitey, different one.

Spinning some Meat Puppets. These guys rip. First it was Ike and Tina! Great stuff for a break from the Phish.

Kaya- no need to feel foolish. Valid argument. I’m sure your not alone either. No winner, just opinions. Peace

T3 – I would argue yes. For me a Phish specific example would be the IT festival. I found out my father had passed away during the day of the second day, which was obviously very difficult, etc. and for that reason I would not likely listen back to those shows or really envision myself returning to that type of festival.

  8. voopa Says:

I know kaya…I even had shows on reel-to-reel!

  9. SillyWilly Says:

I could never love THIS piece of chocolate more except for the NEXT piece.

The next piece of chocolate is always the best piece.

We all can agree on that, I think.

  10. kayatosh Says:

    reel to reel. wow. respect.

  11. angryjoggerz Says:

Ps. you guys are blowing my mind.

  12. Bwana Says:

I’ve had more than a few of those shows, unfortunately… Even though I’m somewhat reminded of those experiences on playback — I actually can more fully appreciate the music in hindsight. I say to myself, shit that’s what I missed because that fucking floor usher (hartford fall97) was hassling me about me dancing in the aisle… Tweezer opener that night and it was on! 20+ minute Zero to start Set2, then 2001 -> Cities -> Ya Mar > Punch… Sick transitions

  13. renaissance79 Says:

Don’t miss Denver Phish is a new rule for me I guess….but hearing everyones personal experiences has added a much richer context to my listening…so thanks

  14. SillyWilly Says:

You know I learned there were people out there who don’t care for chocolate?

    Yep. Totally are.

Just out there walking amongst us. You couldn’t even pick them out if you saw them. At least I couldn’t.

  15. Phishm0610 Says:

time for bed. One more Miner break as the convo has been outstanding.
I love chocolate Silly. I find it easier to ask someone if they like chocolate. If they look away and break eye contact then what comes next doesn’t matter.

  16. renaissance79 Says:

Also interesting are people who prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate….its possible that some are what you mentioned…chocolateless zombies…but the rest eat chocolate…like it…and every time say “I’ll take vanilla”

  17. Phishm0610 Says:

true that ren. Good talk tonight. Night all.

  18. Bwana Says:

Never a bad night on the BB… Beauty is, I think we’ve all written more words tonight than anyone would have dreamed of uttering during the actual shows… We’ve all got our priorities in the right place come show time = listening!

  19. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

didn’t mean to take that in a negative direction, just wanted to point out that context has impact on more than one level.

I remembered your loss, joggerz, and that was one I was thinking of with that post. sorry if I dredged that up.

I have often said that we may be in the same place but we all experience a different show each night. one of the best things about this music is the ability to lose yourself in it, but that isn’t always very easy to do considering the context we each bring to it.

I prefer vanilla to chocolate but that doesn’t mean I don’t like chocolate 😉

ok, off to bed. keep your context in context, people.

  20. SillyWilly Says:

    Fuck my antidepressants.

    I got chocolate.

  21. renaissance79 Says:

    …I’ll take those anti-depressants!!! JK….I’ve got choclate…and peanut butter

  22. renaissance79 Says:

    …and Grandaddy Purps

  23. kayatosh Says:

you can never dip your toe in the river the same way. There’s always different water touching your foot. the water that touched your foot the last time you dipped is long gone.

  24. SillyWilly Says:

    Context and Text cons.

They’re people, too. (But usually phoneless. Most prisons don’t allow cell phones)
