TTFW: Midweek Melange

8.5.10 – The Greek Theatre (Wendy Rogell)

Zero -> 2001 -> Cities -> Yamar” 11.26.97 II, Hartford, CT

One of the consistently underrated sequences of Fall ’97, in which Trey brings the spirit of Jimi to life.

Mike’s Song” 12.30.93 II, Portland, ME

A classic rendition from Cumberland County.

Simple” 8.6.10 II, Berkeley, CA

The innovative and astral jam from The Greek.

Stash” 12.31.03 II, Miami, FL

My favorite jam from 2003’s Holiday Run.

Rock and Roll” 6.7.11 II, Mansfield, MA

A stellar excursion from an otherwise underwhelming show.

Disease > Lizards” 12.12.95 II, Providence, RI

A gargantuan “Disease” from the magic month of December ’95.

Sand” 12.13.99 II, Providence, RI

One of the upper echelon “Sands” of December ’99.

Piper” 7.18.99 III, Volney, NY

The Osewgo “Piper.”

Run Like An Antelope” 8.12.96 I, Noblesville, IN

A burly, mid-second set version from the cornfields.

^Been pampin’ the KP remaster recently myself….where is that cat?!?!

    Sick show TOP TO BOTTOM

  3. Robear Says:

Ren! I don’t have the remaster! First set was candy. Second and third, more and more dessert.

Enjoyed this Great Woods show. Always fun to return to my first Phish venue, now on its 4th name…Got a P&M which is a favorite, and this RnR! Gets down to business quickly and just takes off. No wasted time. But no return of Dr. Gabel?

Another rocker show for the Boston crowd. Will they ever go deep at GW again?

  5. ren Says:

Robear-looks like he hasn’t got ’em back up yet after Megaupload peaced. I can try a put it out there in the cloud later tonight…for the rest of the BB as well. Any suggestions on the preferred method for sharing?

Haven’t listened to Slip Stitch and Pass in forever. This Wolfman’s is pretty swanky.

  7. Guyute711 Says:

Damn, I guess they weren’t kidding about time being short. RIP Alex Karras.

Hey was just wondering where miner gets these downloads. I am in search of a few shows from fall 97, particularly the 11-30-97 worcester show

  11. Dorn76 Says:

The Gangnam style live vid gave me goosebumps. That many people singing along/freaking out in unison is pretty amazing.

Where’s SW to wax philosophical about that universal feeling inspired by music.

Since MiA is MIA, I’m taking over the spotify recs today:

    Phish Set-break and Walk-in music

  12. Dorn76 Says:

By “MIA” I mean “hasn’t posted in 15 minutes”.

  13. Phlorida Phan Says:

  14. Phamily Berzerker Says:

What is up BB. I haven’t posted in a while but I thought I’d give you guys an update. I PASSED MY DT!!!! I start work as a liquor merchandiser on Monday and it is the most exited I’ve been to go to work since, well ever. I can now tell this board that if you value the American labor force and moral and ethical business practices, please never purchase books or media through I would also make sure that Amazon or who ever you use online to purchase books do not use them as a third party vendor to fill your order. They are a company that shields itself from unethical practices and labor exploitation by partnering with non-profits in order to confuse the consumer into thinking they are themselves a non profit but are fact a for profit company in it most diseased form. They are metaphor for everything that is wrong with this country.

  21. voopa Says:

Always an adventure on the BB.

  22. Kaveh Says:

@MrP: well there is nothing in my day that is going to come close to that.

  23. Mr. Palmer Says:

PP- n o cheating. More to do with lying and stealing and draining 50k from a bank account. He recently lost his job, so things are coming to a head.

He was in the process of flipping some ” merchandise”, when he just discovered that all the merchandise was gone.. What makes it worse is the 1 year old they have. Pretty sure he took the kid and left while she’s at work. went to his parents. SO i think the murder is off the table for now. Freaking nightmare as i’m friends with both of them. She obviously has a problem..

  25. Mr. Palmer Says:

I’ve basically watched 3 of my best friends’ marriages blow up , and all three had to do with $$$. All three guys worked on Wall Street and lost jobs. Ladies couldn’t adjust their lifestyles. Shit is bad yo. Another tragedy of this economic depression we are in.
