ANybody listen to these cats? The Step Kids? New album coming out early next year that is starting to get some hype. This is the first single. I’m usually way out of the loop with new music, so maybe these dudes are old news. 3 white kids with some soul, funk, and psychedelic sound.

    I dig what I’ve heard so far…

I want to hate pigtail on principle, but that is one catchy fuckin tune. I gave the album an honest listen today and thought it was okay. Probably won’t listen again (maybe Scabbard and Land Of Nod). Frankly, there is a lot of other music out there far more interesting to my ears. Only so many hours in a day… I’d go see TAB if it was happening nearby, but we all know troy and phish hate the west coast.

Gary Clark Jr’s LP finally dropped last week and I’ve upped it to my orange for those interested. I find it somewhat overproduced and wayward at times, but truly great at other times (see: When my Train Pulls In and Third Stone-> If You Love Me Like You Say). Money.
