Phoamm, how was curacao? Married life just the same as before?

G took a friend to boston TAB, and she enjoyed the first set but found the entire experience so intense (sober) that they left at setbreak, lol

    ‘A little knock on Miner?

“He’s been going to Phish shows since 1995 but isn’t, y’know, an obsessive nerd about it. Compared to some folks, anyway”’

oh no that’s meant to be self-deprecating humor
like only an obsessive nerd would actually write a fucking phish book

    one suspects

  5. marcoesq Says:

    fuck em anyways.

Hey Miner, got the books on Friday..Thanks! Thing is massive. I’ll be ordering 1-2 more this week

    lol @ sumo

married life is good . . . same as it ever was. but really, things are good and we’re enjoying the ride. we get along really well and neither of us is too neurotic about anything . . . except maybe phish 😉 she gets me out of the house to see live music and that’s a real plus because sometimes i think i would probably stay home and do nothing most of the time.

  9. Mr. Palmer Says:

Some intense wind gusts going on here. Shit’s gonna hit the fan in the next 2 hours or so. Glad I don’t live on the coast.

    Be safe.

  10. kayatosh Says:

thanks for the AC Sand post, MIA. $$+ version. tasty.

shuttered in and starting to go a little stir crazy. still have powah and cold dale’s pale ale.

  11. hoedown Says:

Starting to really feel the Sandy wrath. Been without power since 11 this morning. Its getting dark and dangerous outside. Be safe everyone and good luck to all us right coasters. See you on the other side…

  12. Kaveh Says:

Again…as the day progresses…be safe, indeed all East Coaster BBers!

  13. hoedown Says:

AC got destroyed by this mornings high tide and tonight’s could be of epic proportions. Sections of boardwalk were floating down the street. Not good!

  14. kayatosh Says:

very grateful to have attended AC 10.29 and 10.30.2010.

end of that Sand sounds like they mioght go into cool it down. they groove on that rhythm before going into carini.

  15. kayatosh Says:

where are you, hoedown? stand strong.

  16. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

hope none of you kids get jersey’d today!

  17. hoedown Says:

Ocean City area (just south of AC), on the mainland, about 1-1.5 miles west of the back bays. We lost power due to a National Guard truck driving off the side of the road and taking out a pole….Winds are really starting to kick now though. Glad i have a basement to hide in.

  18. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

Had a Heady-Topper from Vermont on Saturday. Holy shit best beer ever.

  19. sumodie Says:

Seems like Sandy is gonna curve around most of MA

    time for a beer run!

And thnx for the heads up about the LP app streaming the Halloween shows. Spun some Indio Stones earlier, Vegas Wolfman’s yesterday

  20. hoedown Says:

The size and power of this storm is truly astounding. Lowest barometric pressure ever associated with a storm making landfall? Last i saw it was at 940… Sandy is likely to basically make landfall right where we are at. We’ll shall see within the next few hours i guess.

  21. Kaveh Says:

@DF: Heady Topper is a HUGE beer….I had one while this summer in VT; man. Shock me to my boots.

  22. Guyute711 Says:

Good luck hoedown and everybody else up there. Feels strange to not be involved in this storm whatsoever. It’s like 50 degrees here in CLT with absolutely nothing going on.

  23. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

kaveh, it may have ruined beer for me. i’ll be comparing everything to it from now on. it’s like candy.

  24. kayatosh Says:

strap in, hoedown. i know where you are. been there many times. ground zero in this storm.

    12.29.95 makisupa. set II opener.

will look for that heady toppper. currently in a affair w/ dale’s pale. the sweet bread smell. the smooth malty crisp taste. so sessionable.

  25. PigSong Says:

    ^Holy Fuck, 28.37 inHg!

    That’s wild.
