TTFT: Hurricane Music
*****
“Sandy > Kane” 6.8.12, Worcester, MA
An appropriate kickoff to a playlist about Hurricane Sandy.

“A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing” 6.19.04 II, SPAC
Perhaps my single favorite jam from the post-hiatus era.

“Drowned” 9.14.00 II, Darien Center, NY
The most harrowing and psychedelic version of all time; it seemed quite appropriate.

“Split Open and Melt” 11.6.98 I, Madison, WI
This groove-based “Split” is in honor of this ridiculous You Tube video of the Con-Edison explosion last night in NYC.

“Wolfman’s Brother” 11.13.98 I, Cleveland, OH
A cross between a hurricane and a ship that’s run aground…
[audio:http://phishthoughts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/ph1998-11-13d1t02.mp3]***
“Free” 11.22.95 II, Landover, MD
Splashing in the sea…
[audio:http://phishthoughts.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Free-_.mp3]***
“Cities -> Good Times, Bad Times” 8.10.97 II, Noblesville, IN
This pairing of songs seemed incredibly fitting considering the scene in the New York metro area.

“Slave to the Traffic Light” 12.5.97 II, Cleveland, OH
…or lack thereof.

wife has got me hooked on dexter. season 2 wrapping up. good stuff
Listening to the Who’s Quadrophenia now
must’ve been ill earlier when i said it wasn’t one of my favs. Even caught the Quadrophenia tour back in the ’90s or there abouts
First stadium show i ever saw was the Who at foxboro stadium south of boston, 1987/8? Drove solo down (& back after show) from Maine. Show blew me away, left me dazed for at least a week
never listened to all of phish’s version tho. maybe I’ve always feared it wouldn’t be fierce enough. won’t happen now either since I’ve got the OG on
Good luck fighting the good fight, Jeffie
All good here, fall already the usual blur of activity
and thnx for dropping that offer on the BB
All over the place tonight. 12.29.98 and Set II from 8.25.12. They did Chalkdust justice on its 400th. That version has been a regular in my rotation for a little while.
Robear- what up? Cash rules everything around me. CREAM hit the money!
$$ bills Ya’ll
o cool tommy (embarassingly late as usual). am sure its been discussed but damn that sht is mighty near. studied tommy for a semester in middle school music class. it was the coolest thing ever. still stands up pretty well, esp sparks. love me some overture too. and all the rest. nostalgic fool!
Just got some tangerine from the hills down south.
Damn.
Love this time of year hoops and harvest.
Also the Blazers’ new pg, Damian Lillard is gonna be special.
Insane skills that made Kobe and Nash look like fools on Wednesday night.

Trey Helping Sandy Victims in Brooklyn MT @danielralston: Trey from Phish came by 98 Richards today & brought supplies. Trey came by twice.
While away from home my bro-in-law introduced me to a couple of ridiculous television shows.
Workaholics and Trailer Park Boys… They are both hysterical, in a stupid humor type of way.
