hey @telas – sorry to be such a noob but….is it legal to send beer in the mail? i got some mendocino brewing in college sent from norcal to colorado but that was ages ago. happy to send you a mixed case or less. whatever you need. i would love some 90 schilling so badly. that would make my year.

  5. Willowed Says:

    What’s up D-bags

I feel Roggae has been having a wonderful run as of late. I wouldn’t mind a lengthy excursion with that jam in NYC.

Open space, uplifting tweaker jam….yes please!l

  6. Willowed Says:

    Gdad. I need your assistance.

On the 30th I will be tooling around the city since I need to be out of the hotel by 11:00 a.m.

What’s a nice little dirty joint where I can grab a good burger and a cold brew? I know there are a thousand places. I want the diamond in the rough. I know you’re good with that.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. roberto luongo Says:

good call on that Dj Rashad

although we’ve had our share of differences on bs we have similar musical tastes

that shits been getting bumped at the crib all the time. just love that glitchy lofi funky shit. so sick.

  8. BingosBrother Says:

    The spelled heroin right poserbd.

  9. roberto luongo Says:

    and karriem riggins

    that shit is the goods

  10. roberto luongo Says:

copied AJ’s list also. love how I’ve bumped half of everyone’s list and can dig into the other half.

    good stuff.

  11. roberto luongo Says:

haven’t heard the term posers since the 80’s

    awesome

  12. gavinsdad Says:

yeah tight list AJ. need to check out bout half of them.

    @willowed – hang tight.

  13. tela'smuff Says:

no – it’s totally not legal to send beer in the mail. same thing with paper or buds or caramels. ha. i figured we could find a way to do it though.

nice list AJ. i didn’t know White Rainbow put out something new this year. big fan.

  14. Dorn76 Says:

Without this board I would know of 3-4 of the albums listed today.

Lee Fields is a fucking badass, I know that much.

  15. gavinsdad Says:

@willowed – you know, burger madness has taken over NYC in the past few years. there are literally dozens to try and some have kind of beaten the old stand-bys. But I still maintain that one needs to visit the Corner Bistro for a beat up table in the back and a burger/pint. Just one of those things you need to tick off your list.

also google JG melon on 3rd ave and the PJ Clarkes on 3rd ave. those are old school prep spots where you’ll feel the old blue blood of nyc flowing.

and finally there is the Burger Joint on 56th st hidden behind a velvet curtain in the lobby of the Le Parker Meridian hotel. sick little tuck-in…hard to get a seat but prob ok right before OR after lunch rush.

  16. Jtran Says:

Other people’s lists make my list compilation go on another couple weeks.

Thanks aj and telas. What I do know is Spiritualized is #1 – gonna have to be something I love a lot to knock it off that spot.

  17. roberto luongo Says:

    GD

that Chicago buger spot you sent me a few months ago has been getting some office talk amongst the hedgies in the office

philly cat got the low down on the Chicago burger scene before we did

supposedly the wait is still brutal so no one has gone yet.

  18. TrippingBilly Says:

I think that ‘Away from the World’ should get some consideration as a best of the year album. it is pretty fantastic.

  19. gavinsdad Says:

and if anyone is gonna ball out in NYC and get porterhouse for 2 I highly recommend the following steakhouse that flies completely under the radar for no good reason at all. i’ve been to the more well known nyc steakhouses and they honestly dont stack up to:

    http://www.rothmanns54.com/home.html

stodgy and dated but the best kitchen to table steak i’ve had in NYC.

and maybe @alf can post my cheap eats list again for old times sake?

  20. joe Says:

any list that doesn’t include Traveler gets skipped over by me

  21. garretc Says:

Yeah, what? Nobody has the “Hands On A Hardbody Official Soundtrack” on their top 20?

  22. bhizzle Says:

    i’m starting to get hungry

  23. gavinsdad Says:

i nerd out on the restaurants and “spots” for sure. bad disease.

  24. MiA Says:

That was pure food porn RL. Nice.

  25. DaNcInG fOoL Says:
