Trey Goes to Toronto
Last Friday, Trey traveled north of the border for the first time since his ’06 arrest, kicking off his brief winter TAB tour at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. Phish Thoughts had photographer Jesse Herzog on the scene to capture Trey’s first international performance since his 2008 comeback, and today I share with you some of his shots from the night up north.

^true story
Spoke with the guy at local shop about PAX.
He is not a huge fan and prefers the White Rhino which has the ability for use with flowers, wax and a different extension for oils.
might be worth checking out.
Calpain
the White Rhino is just an Atmos Raw clone. I owned one and didn’t really dig it.
Omicron still my fav wax pen
now that my PAX has the kinks worked out still think it’s the best portable flower device
IMO none of the flower + concentrate pens are worth a shit. need one for each.
After two cancellations, we finally got to see Trey ride his bike at the sold out Cap last night!
Worth the wait, in that the Cap is a fantastic venue with superb sound. Love the no-seats open floor section (if only Boston’s Orpheum would do the same). Venue has been lovingly restored and looks great
Easy drive into Port Chester, lotsa on street parking, ate a very tasty quickie at El Tio’s right beside the Cap.
So is TAB gonna convert today’s jaded custies…? No
But for the rest of us schilly wooks willing to let Trey lie, we were rewarded with more than enough good to great segments last night

Great shots, DF!
yeah the design of the chamber did not seem very efficient. and i couldn’t figure out how the same chamber could be used for wax and flowers.
i still questioned why they won’t carry the PAX. maybe trying to be contrarian.
seen TAB once (philly 2010) and Sand was the only track that i felt had some special sauce.
nice to hear some on-site reporting. did not know there was a live stream.

That’s a pretty damn long piss/smoke break.
My Davinci works great. Fwiw.
So Manti’s
boyfriend impersonated a woman and Manti never caught on.Amazing!
My wife said that listening to TAB while taking a bubble bath was perfect.
Why did Trey have that acoustic guitar holder? Never seen that before.
Why did Trey have that acoustic guitar holder? Never seen that before.
^ 1993 (maybe earlier). That is how he used to play The Horse. He had is electric slung over his back and then would swing it around for Silent in the AM.
I’ll be checking out Dark & Down for sure. Love that song.
@MiA – When I saw TAB, Trey needed the guitar holder cause he used 2 guitars in some of the new songs. Quick switch.
also how he used to do the acoustic intro for MFMF
also how he used to do the acoustic intro for MFMF
^ yes…thanks.
Huh. He didn’t change guitars in the song though and didn’t have his electric on his back.
Wasn’t really paying attention though either at that point.
Don’t remember that for silent or MFMF.
Goodbye Head is a great song, probably one of Trey’s best from the last 10 years along with Cincinnati, Bar 17 and Host.
Yeah, I saw the acoustic stand in ’93 for Myfe & Horse. Thought I saw him use it on Divided Sky or Fluffhead or something else, but now I’m not sure…just listened to DS from Warfield ’93 and that wasn’t it…
I guess he did it at the show I saw at the State Theater in ’93. I was pretty messed up that night, and was far from sober. I went on a “consume everything you can get your hands on” approach that night.
I do remember sitting down a lot that night. Mostly due to poor balance.
One of the new tunes he played he switched to the acoustic mid song then back to the electric. Maybe Architect? All of a sudden i looked up he had the acoustic on. I chuckled.
TAB is a good night out. Nothing more, nothing less. Glad I went.
