Funky Bitch > Jam > Yerushalayim Shel Zahav” 11.22.94, Columbia, MO

An under-the-radar sequence of Fall 1994, this one spans the full spectrum of ’94 Phish. You can almost feel the energy in the room when the band reaches near silence at a few points during the “Jam.”

Light” 10.19.10 II, Augusta, ME

Fall 2010 was full of stellar versions of “Light.” The highlight of a solid second set, this one gets my vote for tops of Fall 2010.

Antelope -> 2001” 8.11.04 II, Mansfield, MA

This unfinished “Antelope” melts into an infectious “2001” and is one of the few highlights from the last run of 2004 that still has replay value today.

Halley’s Comet” 12.7.99 II, Portland, ME

Simple” 11.18.96 II, Memphis, TN

Speaking of heartfelt music, this “Simple” jam initially finds some tranquil space before Trey leads the troops into an emotional peak.

If it helps, I’m starting to hear one now. Let me know if anyone hears anything.

And my last thing. There is no such thing as an imaginary orchestra. If it was imaginary it wouldn’t be real. If something of such nonsense has made it’s way to the BB then it needs to be renamed. How about Trey disciples or something biblical for no reason at all. Or I could just shut the hell up and keep watching the beer and final four talk. Works for a part of me but there is a part that seems to not like it. Go figure. Peace and Night all.

Rolling Stones tour dates drop tomorrow, 18 shows in May-June

Tempted to see them one last time, tho I shudder to think about ticket prices

@xpun Harrisonburg, no kidding? I kind of miss VA. My folks are currently selling their place – 10 acres out by the Blue Ridge for a price that wouldn’t get you a front door in parts of CA. I worked in Shenandoah NP after school. Taught skiing at Massanutten.

You ever go to Calhoun’s? A buddy of mine runs/owns (ran?) that place. We’ve fallen out of touch, but he’s a great guy – we brewed a lot back in the day and I took him with us to the Fox Theater run in Atlanta in 1995.

Other 3.0 Twists to hear: MSG ’09, Superball, Dick’s ’11. IIRC one from last Summer was uncharacteristically ferocious, maybe Jones Beach or SPAC?

    UiC, bitches.

    (Sigur Ros edition)

  7. sumodie Says:

Voopa, you’re slacking, How could you forget the dark Cinci Twist complete with a Broadway musical tease (Jesus Christ superstar)

  8. phishm Says:

Think MiA mentioned the Cincy Twist. Still an amazing jam. Glad I was there. Too bad it’s better on playback then it was live. Beer sucks.

  9. phishm Says:

My bad. Guess it was 2 more posts. Just sticking up for my main man MiA. Again just kidding. Sticking up for my main jam Twist. Just kidding. Not really sure why I’m posting again. Dang drugs and alcohol. Get’s me everytime. Night all.

  10. voopa Says:

Of course sumo, that’s what I meant when I said “other”, but I also should have mentioned that I was referencing MiA’s post from the last page or so.

Cincy Twist is “my favorite of the new songs”. That, Charlotte (’11) Ghost, and Dick’s Light. And LB RNR. And Gorge RNR. And…

  11. phishm Says:

it’s still phishm@phishm.com if you want to complain about the ungodly amount of useless spam like posts, but that would be useless. I agree. OK now night. Unless AW has some cool personalities to expose on a night that was different from the others in the week.

  12. voopa Says:

Yeah, what phishm said. At least the first part.

  13. sumodie Says:

Westminster CO Westin has finally dropped their Labor Day rates. AAA rate is $109 w/out taxes just like last year. I’m too superstitious to sleep anywhere else after staying there the last two runs (well, only 1 night in 2011)

bingos with the “I wanna dip my balls in it” comment. That dude is on fire today. I WAAAannnnnna dip my ballllsssssz in it.

  16. MiA Says:

I should recheck my Denver Westin rates.

Do you live in your head or do you live in your heart? May I suggest the heart for Stash outros

  18. gavinsdad Says:

Thanks for reminders. Gotta check flights to DEN again

  19. phishm Says:

    Guess he’s out.

  20. MiA Says:

Lol. Made reservations for Sept 28th to October 2nd. Cancelled that.

    MiA’d

  21. phishm Says:

I know I shouldn’t do this, but wanted to elaborate on that whole orchestra thing. It’s not that any of us hear an orchestra. IMHO, we are in the orchestra and see those that are in front of us sometimes. Not in physical form, but in the form of a choir that is listening. At least to me. Or I could be wrong. And know that nothing that I write ever makes sense to anyone. Peace.

  22. phishm Says:

And when I say us I mean all of the individuals in this fucked up world that have the cognitive values blessed to them to be able to get what it is that is IT.

  23. sumodie Says:

Westminster Westin cheapskate AAA rate wasn’t available when I tried to book Wednesday 8/28 – Monday 9/2

But was available for Fri-Mon, which is what I wanted anyway. Got an indy motel booked up in Estes Park for Wed/Thur. The Shining hotel was too pricey ;-(

Nonstop Boston-Denver flights start at $318 r/t on United

  24. MiA Says:

Like I said earlier SWA flights were $205 RT for me. Big fare sales going in now. AA was near $390 for same flight.

  25. sumodie Says:

Nonstop Boston – Seattle Gorge flights start at $470 r/t on Alaska Air

Virgin is just $422 but not nonstop and takes almost twice as long. Unfortunately I don’t think Seattle flights are gonna drop much from my area

Boston-Denver flights have dropped a little

As for a Denver car rental, I got a great rate two weeks ago with Advantage
