Seven Below -> What’s the Use?” 12.27.10 II, Worcester

Amidst a snow storm in Worcester, Phish paid homage to mother nature with this centerpiece jam of the show.

Tweezer > Caspian” 12.29.09, II Miami, FL

After all these years, the Miami “Tweezer” still holds up as one of the best of the modern era. And this “Caspian” absolutely crushes.

Piper” 12.30.11 II, New York, NY

The only bright spot of a otherwise piss-poor show. How they pulled it together for this one jam, we’ll never know.

Carini” 12.30.12 II, New York, NY

This menacing abstraction was the talking point of the Holiday Run for months after.

***

Light” 12.2.09 II, New York, NY

Just as “Light” was beginning to break form, Phish thew down this monstrosity at MSG—the most prolific version anyone had ever seen.

Ghost > NO2” 12.31.09 II, Miami, FL

Everyone knows MSG’s “Holy Ghost” of 2010, but do you remember this grimy, funk number from Miami the year before?

Harry Hood” 12.28.10 II, Worcester, MA

One of the truly magnificent jams 0f the modern era—musical perfection.

You Enjoy Myself” 12.4.09 II, New York, NY

This is one of very few worthy “YEMs” of the modern era. This one goes out to Scott—@Tourtweet.

  3. buddysmyles Says:

Wasnt this 12/29/09 show the one where Miner wasnt heard from for days cause he was busy all night 12/30 trying to find the missing pieces of his face? This Tweez>Piper was da cats (_*_)

  4. george w. kush Says:

    The cat’s butthole BuddySmiles?

Thanks for these tunes Miner. Happy Friday to all here!

  5. george w. kush Says:

so my cousin who got engaged yesterday called this morning on the way to work. I had to later tell him that I couldn’t pick up the phone bc the LP app would have certainly cut off the 40-minute 7/9/99 Mikes>Twist>Paug and started me at the beginning. Can’t have that on a Friday commute.

  6. RoosterPizza Says:

LP hit the restart on me when I was 12 minutes into Coral Sky Crosseyed.

  7. buddysmyles Says:

Or the Cats ass @george… Old SNL reference…

  8. Gavinsdad Says:

Lp app truly sucks the cats ass

  9. buddysmyles Says:

LP app is most definenitly not the cats ass… It truly blows… It was one of my main gripes when Phish set out that survey about website, live streams etc… Apparently they didnt listen so much…

  10. DavidSilver Says:

Holiday gift ideas. Just bought my dad the uic print. Dig it.

  11. Ulysses S. Wingsuit Says:

Thanks for the recs GW and RP, think I’ll load AUDs of both for today’s walkin’ music.

Oh and GW, thanks for pointing me towards the JG/JK 5-5-82 video; didn’t know that existed. Still can’t find a “definitive” version of Reuben & Cherise, not sure if there is one. Got one at my first JGB show, but it was nothing extraordinary.

    Enjoy your Friday the 13th.

  12. vapebraham Says:

you cats listen to phish through “apps”? amazing.

  13. Stoney Case Says:

    http://fs7.formsite.com/STTFLOW/form26/index.html

Let your voice be heard. Surrender fall survey.

    One minute “Gotta hit MSG”.
Next minute ” CouchTour will suffice”

  14. Snigglebeach Says:

If pause was an option on the app it would be an amazing tool in my phone. But u guys are right. I have to plan long jams accordingly.

Is pause really that tough a function to install? Every other app and even website I visit on my phone has it. And phish app is only one I paid $$ for

  15. bob dylan Says:

Bought crowes tickets on stubhub last night.

46 each after fees for GA balcony.

Hope to see some of you there.

  16. dorn76 Says:

Couch Tour may be necessary, but it’s never quite sufficient.

  17. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

that’s a pretty comprehensive survey right there.

  18. vapebraham Says:

10.31.96 maze — hide under your seat great, even on playback. assault mode phish w/ extra percussionsist.

  19. Fly Says:

One of if not the most underrated jam of 3.0: 12/03/09 Disease. Spin it and know.

  20. Jerome Garcia Says:

Nice work bob. Shant be disappointed.

  21. Jerome Garcia Says:

What’s the scoop on this gdad?

  22. bob dylan Says:

Nice pickup D silver. I’ve got the shirt of that print and wear it all the time. Love the design.

  23. vapebraham Says:

8.14.96 — hershey DwD — $$$. Trey using his bagpipe tone. freakin exciting.

  24. bob dylan Says:

If they added pause to LP app it would cache the songs and someone would inevitably rip it all to the computer.

  25. vapebraham Says:

blockley to close. that’s crummy news. shucks.
