Fall 2013 (Andrea Nusinov)

Fall 2013 (Andrea Nusinov)

Here are the ten finalists of the December ’95 haiku contest. I put the names into a hat and drew three winners, who are highlighted in blue. Winners, send me your mailing address and I’ll get these out in time for the holiday. Thanks to all twenty-five people who entered a haiku! (I wanted to publish em all but thought it might be overkill!) Happy Holidays!

I don’t get why someone would want to go to another site or have another host start up another site. I have been following this band for 20 years now. This site was the first site I had ever stumbled upon a group of folks that all not only read, but understood the book. Why change something that is so perfect?

i loved that Split was old school. no tools to whale it out. hearing a Split like that again was a special treat for me. that set was already my favorite then they dropped Split. still in awe.

@Dorn – totally. how about Mike’s perfect use of the drill at the end of Waves? nice segue into a rocking Twist. speaking of segues, Ghost>Paug?!!

  3. Mr. Palmer Says:

It’s Ice and Gumbo from night 1 were nice little set 1 treats

  4. Dorn76 Says:

@pb, Sriracha manufacturers hate that little trick.

And honestly, the truck setup in the middle of MSG was priceless. Fuck the rail riders IMO. I watched those dudes so call rage the rail both nights and just was in awe of how amazingly douchy they looked. Nothing wrong with getting down, but when most of the venue is all cramped together, I don’t get why just a few cats think it’s their right to take up so much space just because they go to all the shows. They obviously don’t get the band at all IMO. They don’t get the connection or the people around them. There doesn’t seem to be a care in the world about anyone or anything else other then themselves. Shameless if you ask me. Sure I bumped into a few people while raging. I didn’t mean to and I checked myself right after. To know your environment and share it will like minded folks is where it’s at for me.

    night 2 i meant..

Enough complaining from me. Going to get my dog’s. Wow do I miss them.

  9. Stoney Case Says:

Tons of great playing. Couple spots of fatigue or rust popped up night 3 and 4. Rusty, sore, fatigued. Sounds like me, night 2 and 3.

i’m being so lazy but damn if phishtracks isn’t handy. already have the msg run up and it sounds good enough to spin in the office.

auds sound nice. expected worse from all the complaints of bad sound.

  11. Stoney Case Says:

The tall blonde, front and center every night is a friend of friends in Santa Cruz. Had white shirt and purple scarf night 2. Huge heads. Her and her husband waited in line and got that spot every night.

Best part, peeps slept outside to get rail on NYE. Then Stood back of floor for Truck Your Face set.

I can understand younger fans thinking NYE would be considered a Gamehenge show Hell, I couldn’t webcast due to family stuff going on and after running down the setlist after the night wound down, I was wondering what happened myself…… So many GH songs in one show…… I was scrambling to see what went down. I’d bet that no one can find a show since the last official GH that contained as many parts of the story. Not trying in any way to argue that it should count, but just saying that for the youngins in the room, its as close as they’ve ever come.

Loved the couple minute search pre Disease. They don’t do that much anymore. Not as big a fan of that Disease besides the drop back into it, but man that Carini. Pajama jammy jam.

  14. btb Says:

What a run! Had an amazing time!

Phish is awesome when they play Phish songs 🙂

  15. bob dylan Says:

i just happened into the official ipad keyboard from a few generations back. makes this thing a serious contender for portable BB/tour computer.

stoney, if your cat didnt axe yours, i’d highly suggest it.

  16. butter Says:

    I have it ranked 4, 2, 1, 3

I could see 3 & 1 being swapped based on taste. I dug the flow of 1 a bit better than 3

    Amazing run

  17. jtran Says:

    SHRED IS ON BOARD!!!!!

  18. Stoney Case Says:

Have a wireless keyboard! No iPad. Got catfished!

Lots of GH songs NYE show throughout. Calling set 2 a GH set is nonsense. Ask Reba and Split and Glide what they think

  19. jtran Says:

    @telas

I thought of you when they absolutely nailed the Split jam sans whale. Loved that.

Mockingbird, Icculus, Split my highlights from that set

  20. bob dylan Says:

i think my link is to the Canadian flacs. i dont hear any talkers. 😯

  21. marcoesq Says:

Fish actually goes into the Light beat a little during Fuego before ending it and having Trey start it up.

    Who got some cake?

  22. Dorn76 Says:

    Haha Carini got woo’d.

  23. bob dylan Says:

whatever you call trey’s new toy, it’s working for me.

just played light. nice little jam we got there.

  24. Jerome Garcia Says:

    Thanks butter 😉

  25. Stoney Case Says:

The crowd huge improvement over last year to me. Apparently they lurk the board and listened to Stoney call them out.
