Fall 2013 (Andrea Nusinov)

Fall 2013 (Andrea Nusinov)

Here are the ten finalists of the December ’95 haiku contest. I put the names into a hat and drew three winners, who are highlighted in blue. Winners, send me your mailing address and I’ll get these out in time for the holiday. Thanks to all twenty-five people who entered a haiku! (I wanted to publish em all but thought it might be overkill!) Happy Holidays!

Enjoy whatever you want Neemor. Just saying I think he/they are idiots.

    Ymmv.

  2. Shred Says:

type 3 jam in end of dust is crazy. Fish/Gordo lock up and just destroy.

  3. butter Says:

If u don’t like BM writing, why cut and paste it here?

Why talk about it so much. Read or don’t read.

Zac’s a deep kid, helps gather a portion of fans together and really means the best

  4. InAMinute Says:

May have been said but to add to the truck set…
Phish posted a pic of the floor line outside MSG on NYE around 5p. Also handing out cake to eat…since you can’t have it too…

  5. neemor Says:

Nothing about this stand-along article says, “idiot” to me.
‘Course, it’s my first time reading anything from that blog.

I also donated a pair of Birks to a cowfield in Vermont.

  6. MiA Says:

I’d rather ignore it myself Butter.

Was just posting evidence. Zach obviously is a great kid.

  7. tela's_muff Says:

realized later that the keyboard cake with the mountain backdrop was a recreation of the famed Telluride crossing the street photo. pretty cool, and hopefully a little tease to the band coming this summer.

the CDT is better second time around. very nuanced. i undersold his contribution throughout the jam. still a little disconnected in a couple spots, but pretty cool jam.

  8. neemor Says:

    So-
I’ve been listening to set 2 12/30 for the afternoon.
Why is this set ranked so low?

  9. Stoney Case Says:

Great catch Tela to the rumor you heard.

Butter, he links those paragraphs for cats like me. I can peruse Zacs latest effort without giving his site the google traffic. Win win.

  10. jtran Says:

    @neemor

my advice, as a babysmouth fluffer, is not NOT read any of his other writing. Find one you like, and stick with it. Like brand of sneakers.

  11. neemor Says:

    Or, stated differently:
12/30 Jibboo>First Tube is great Phish.

  12. Stoney Case Says:

    Neems,
    Where is it ranked low?
Ranking kind of requires higher or lower placement.

Thought it was excellent myself. Only set 1 from 12/31 felt less than fantastic. And it was good.

  13. Don Gordleone Says:

ha! just what we needed to bring things full circle – a Baby’s Mouth debate!

The thing about Zac’s search for meaning is that ten articles later, it’s still just a search. Lots of words. Not much accomplished with them. He does seem like a nice guy.

  14. neemor Says:

Ranked was a poor choice of words, for sure.
As I type this I realize just how good this run-this year-has been.

  15. Stoney Case Says:

Jtran owes me a surf outing after we took him and his girl under our wing at the SuperBall!

yeah I just figured that out today, pretty cool

    1. 12/31 2
    2. 12/29 2
    3. 12/31 3
    4. 12/30 2
    5. 12/28 2
    6. 12/29 1
    7. 12/30 1
    8. 12/28 1
    9. 12/31 1

  18. George W. Kush Says:

Neemor, if youre talking rank, what dropped it some for me was the D2D>Ghost. Sounds crazy to even try to explain this but Mikes was in the prime spot for a big jam and although I dig D2Dream, my brain was going down the ‘big mikes jam” alley. Ghost was great as well but stayed rawk instead of getting gooey and cosmic. Sick seg bt Ghost>Week and a really really great set but didn’t reach the intergalactic weirdness I had hoped for mid 2nd set.

That all is still not a letdown whatsoever. Excellent set of Phish for sure but I think 12/29 gets the love for the depth of jams.

note to self. Learn how to torrent. thanks Shred.

Maybe I’ll finally get a computer soon.

  20. George W. Kush Says:

Was sure we would hear a Wingsuit somewhere in there this weekend. Greatly surprised that song did not appear at all with its dreamy floaty textures and lyrical significance.

  21. little umbrellas Says:

Depth. Something the BB is a fan of. Why i started coming here. Was out there jam mining and realized Phishthoughts was here for me and helping pave the way.

  22. Shred Says:

End of mockingbird is just spell binding. Forbins Mockingbird FYF Reba Icculus

    Is there better?

  23. Jerome Garcia Says:

& on a completely unrelated topic just want to give a quick & heartfelt Thank You to Bill O’Brien for all that he did the past two years at PSU in midst of the NCAA sanctions. Wishing he & his family all the best in Htown. Looking fwd to watching him coach my NFL squad. Stillers fan by birth right & def a favorite but Htown my 1st pro sports city. Here’s hoping the Nits can land a coach that’ll be around for awhile.

& now back to your regularly scheduled Phish Thoughts.
