Phish posted a pic of the floor line outside MSG on NYE around 5p. Also handing out cake to eat…since you can’t have it too…

realized later that the keyboard cake with the mountain backdrop was a recreation of the famed Telluride crossing the street photo. pretty cool, and hopefully a little tease to the band coming this summer.
the CDT is better second time around. very nuanced. i undersold his contribution throughout the jam. still a little disconnected in a couple spots, but pretty cool jam.

Why is this set ranked so low?

my advice, as a babysmouth fluffer, is not NOT read any of his other writing. Find one you like, and stick with it. Like brand of sneakers.

Where is it ranked low?
Ranking kind of requires higher or lower placement.
Thought it was excellent myself. Only set 1 from 12/31 felt less than fantastic. And it was good.

The thing about Zac’s search for meaning is that ten articles later, it’s still just a search. Lots of words. Not much accomplished with them. He does seem like a nice guy.
Ranked was a poor choice of words, for sure.
As I type this I realize just how good this run-this year-has been.

Neemor, if youre talking rank, what dropped it some for me was the D2D>Ghost. Sounds crazy to even try to explain this but Mikes was in the prime spot for a big jam and although I dig D2Dream, my brain was going down the ‘big mikes jam” alley. Ghost was great as well but stayed rawk instead of getting gooey and cosmic. Sick seg bt Ghost>Week and a really really great set but didn’t reach the intergalactic weirdness I had hoped for mid 2nd set.
That all is still not a letdown whatsoever. Excellent set of Phish for sure but I think 12/29 gets the love for the depth of jams.

Was sure we would hear a Wingsuit somewhere in there this weekend. Greatly surprised that song did not appear at all with its dreamy floaty textures and lyrical significance.
Depth. Something the BB is a fan of. Why i started coming here. Was out there jam mining and realized Phishthoughts was here for me and helping pave the way.

& on a completely unrelated topic just want to give a quick & heartfelt Thank You to Bill O’Brien for all that he did the past two years at PSU in midst of the NCAA sanctions. Wishing he & his family all the best in Htown. Looking fwd to watching him coach my NFL squad. Stillers fan by birth right & def a favorite but Htown my 1st pro sports city. Here’s hoping the Nits can land a coach that’ll be around for awhile.
