i know hollow bodies are hard to control the feedback sometimes but i was just confused. he let it rip in that hood and I’ve seen many YEMs where the note doesn’t last the whole time. didn’t know if there was a trick to it.
Plus you do kind of have to be standing in the sweet spot to catch the feedback like he does in that Hood. Just catching the sound at the right volume to keep feeding through like that
“Filmed in ATX. Chachkies is the Catfish Parlour. The more you know…”
Actually, Chotchkies on the outside is Chase Bank on Great Hills Trail which used to be bankone up by the Arboretum. It is still “my bank” today. You can see the Renaissance Hotel in the background.
Inside is Alligator Grill on South Lamar, but it may be a Catfish parlour now? I thought it was Baker St. bar and grill?
Hey Colorado BBers! I know Tinariwen has been rec’d on here for quite awhile (I think I heard about them first from Mr.C a couple years ago).
Well, I got carried away when they announced this year’s tour and grabbed a couple extra tickets hoping to turn some folks onto them. Anyway, still got a couple extras for their show April 11th at the Bluebird Theater in Denver. Hard copy tickets from TM, asking a bit less than face/fees for them. I live in Boulder/Ned area or can mail them/paypal. Email if interested: mandersonbwana @ gmail
I’ll re-post this a few times over next couple weeks, unless someone grabs ’em quick! Still hoping to make the show myself, but the “secret” is some friends of mine are planning a Moab trip that weekend for my bday (April 7th). Hope to do both! Cheers!
Tube screamer must be the most popular pedal ever. I feel like every rig has it. Maybe not 2 but… I likes me tha Fulltone stuff a lot to.
Trey gets his modded by analogman to the original specs. as usual the new one’s sound kinda crappy. I think it just takes an extra chip or something.
he makes Ross clones out of MTX pedals also if you want to sound like Troy

he runs the Ross with way less Sustain than back in the day Bobby D plus he doesn’t play with as much Gain
just doesn’t play as hot anymore
makes the big soaring Divded Sky and YEM notes tougher to sing like BITD
“New-Post” boys & girls…

well I wouldn’t say I’ve been ‘missing it,’ Bob.
