‘Attack on the Bass’ -first listen.

Cosmic Coin of bass. The attack vs boom. Hard to get that perfect balance.

This one looks good. If I were going I would stay here.

  3. The Flesh Says:

little umb – agree on the quality of SSP. incredible sound in the headphones. many a drunken night walking home in high school with that cd in my portable. love the mike’s and taste

  4. The Flesh Says:

secretly hoping a group just offers me some floor space and are down to drink beers and jam to loud tunes all night

  5. The Flesh Says:

    thanks phishm. bookmarked

  6. phishm Says:

Go to DTE. I not only have floor space, but possibly an extra bed. Booked a double hoping my brother could go. I doubt his wife will let him be gone for 3 days even though I’m paying for everything. Marriage is a gift that just keeps on giving.

  7. The Flesh Says:

would love to throw down at DTE. just can’t swing it this summer. going to do my 3 southeast shows – charlotte, oak mtn and alphareta. would love to get back to the northeast for SPAC and some others but the summer is just crazy already with weddings and other dumb things.

planning on a big fall on the west coast. have never been to a lot of these rumored cities – seattle, portland, san fran. Need to make this trip happen already.

    Da PHlesh,
I’ve got a line-out to a dear brother who will have a couple suggestions for Oak Mountain accommodations…if he ever gets back to me!(Buccos ARE in the 14th inning)
Two yrs ago we were literally like a 200yd walk to THAT fucked-up, swinging foot-bridge…which was VERY convenient Rolling-out of the venue post-show.
    *AGREE 100% on yer slave-thoughts*

    “always proud”^^^

    You cheer me Up!

Cookin’ with the Miles Davis Quintet

  11. The Flesh Says:

Thanks, Baker. Never been to oak mtn (or Alabama for that matter) so looking forward to it.

  12. phishm Says:

That’s good of you to say Baker. My ex wife told me that I make everyone around me miserable. I felt bad letting her know that she was always by me and I could feel it too. Anyway, digging some jam that I know I knew when I started it. It will end and I will start up a new one. I wonder how long it will take to forget the name of the song that starts that jam too.

  13. the Baker Says:

When you go “to enter the venue” in Pelham…HANG-on/HOLD-tight!
    IT’s a Doooooozy.
*that is all I have to say*

  14. garretcorncob Says:

  16. little umbrellas Says:

Cookin, Workin, Steamin, Walkin, Relaxin… all those albums are great.

Miles and Trane with Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones. love that era.

  17. little umbrellas Says:
    yes. do it. awesome.

  18. little umbrellas Says:

@G.CornCob. Have you heard Ahmad Jamal’s ‘Live at the Pershing (But Not For Me)’ Album? one of my favorite trio recording of all time.

It was also a huge influence on Miles. That Space, that emphasis on melody. I wonder if Miles was saying, ‘hey Red! check this Ahmad cat!’!/album/At+The+Pershing/875430
the track Poinciana turned me onto Jazz.

  19. little umbrellas Says:
Blue Moods- Miles. Dig these vibes Dorn.

  20. garretcorncob Says:

Haven’t Umb, but I’m grabbing it now.

  21. little umbrellas Says:

That Ahmad Jamal album is one of those records I’ve listened to so many times that each note in the improve is like hearing a loved composed piece.

forgot how good this Blue Moods record is. Trombone and Vibes blend.

Exactly LU. Bryce Goggin >>>> Kevorkian

I’ve seen that Hick’s show. Never thought it was funny and I really tried.

Austin in ’89 was just like everywhere else in ’89 I think. But much smaller.

  24. RicksFork Says:

Hello Stoney! You in the Bean?
