Underpamped : KDF from friday. And maybe Stash, although I rarely listen to 3.0 Stashes and been forever since I got one. Seemed tight to me. KDF fo sho tho.

  4. RicksFork Says:

GW Stash worthy of listen @Bingos.

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

So close to pulling trigger on flight to the PNW..non stop $400 R/T.. pretty good…

Thinking I should probably mention to the wife first though…

  7. Shred Says:

Happy for everyone out west getting the fall tour nod. Long time coming. 12 shows ain’t enough though.

I think the album on halloween is not happening. Wonder if they will keep everyone guessing or not. They should come out and say if they are or aren’t

Other topic which involves Phish but not really are these Allman tickets I have for Beacon. Decided to go cause I got hooked w orchestra for sat night. But Greg is really sick and canceling shows. I worry that he will cancel again in oct and some hack will sit in.

anyone else think they’ll play an all original set again? they said they had a bunch of tunes pretty ready that didn’t make the record…

    is Snow gone forever? 😉

  9. marcoesq Says:

Shred, I’ll be sitting in so don’t fret. I’ll bring my Fender Squire

  10. BingosBrother Says:

Thanks Rick. Noticed minimal, if any, whale all weekend. Which is good news for Stash. Even Antelope, which used to be my jam, sounded pretty goodamn ok.

    Phishthought

Toyota Park Ghost started off what the NI Ghost picked up and finished. Will find both and compare later, but I’m pretty dang sure that was familiar for a reason.

  11. little umbrellas Says:

course Greg plays keys not guitar.

  12. dorn76 Says:

I was spraying my seed all over Great Woods 21 years ago…particularly during the pause in Divided.

All assembled that special night are my children. I wish them well.

  13. marcoesq Says:

They told me they wanted more Duane and less I’m No Angel

  14. vegas wolfmans Says:

Palmer- 400 is about as low as it’s gonna go. I have scored SEA>EWR direct for this cost. Make t happen brah.

  15. vegas wolfmans Says:

That is a long fuckin flight though.

    Wedge Jam:
basically at first a ii-V jam. classic two chord funk jam. moving between the F# minor and the B Dominant chords. then they settle in the F# minor for a while and the Clav and Mike’s bass synth get thick. eventually Page brings back the B dominant chord.

Trey makes the move to a key change. F# becomes Major (now the Tonic) and he starts moving through I-IV-V-IV-I blues changes over F#. Page certainly takes well to that moment. His Clav leads get really hot over those changes. Takes the lead.

then Page switches to Piano and it’s time for Trey to take a Blues’y Major Solo… does a little moving between rhythm and lead playing.

…kinda of a cool move by Trey at the end to bring back the Wedge lick. a little reminder. not a crazy impressive piece but cool coming out the wedge.. i found Page’s clav to be the best part of it.

  17. marcoesq Says:

Was that during the month of “Every 2nd set opens with 2001”?

  18. RicksFork Says:

I make the Boston to SEA flight 5 to 6 times a year for work and it’s a bear. Jet stream is a fascinating thing though. Flights westbound can be upwards of 6 hours and flights back to the Bean can be under 4.5.

  19. Spasm Waiter Says:

Hey gang- Not sure if this was shared yet but cool live footage of Jonathan Wilson from TRI studios:

  20. little umbrellas Says:

the jam in Mike’s groove is a F# minor key jam (Mike always builds tension bylaying on the m2 (halfstep) every 4 bars or so)

anyways, an easy and logical move towards having a F# oriented jam in Wedge. nice little bridge of cohesiveness.

MannMike’s blew ChiMike’s out of the water.

  21. little umbrellas Says:

    ^Mike’s song, not groove.

  22. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

Would it be a bad idea to get a new CC so I can hit fall tour?

  23. Phamily Berzerker Says:

So I picked my youngest up for day camp yesterday and she confirmed one of the counselors had Wombat looping for his phone ringetone.
THe counselor had not yet seen the band but was planning a show or two this Fall. Likely a little freaked by the youngster in his face about the phish from vermont. Likely hitting the San Diego Show with the whole Berzerker Tribe.

  24. marcoesq Says:

Thanks for the insight, lilum. I’m a self taught hack that can’t read music. I can get by and have a pretty good ear but wish I had taken the time when I was younger to learn the fundamentals. Really enjoying that guy Mike Hamad who does the Phishmaps. Stuff fascinates me

  25. little umbrellas Says:

checkin this Ghost jam out… Fish goes into a straight beat pretty quick out the gates.. disco or pysycho killer groove by Fish.
