And yes, I am into that sort of thing and love the original Cavern lyrics.

cavern and I have history. words were exchanged, feelings were hurt and now it’s just weird when we are in the same room together. but yet that fucker still follows me around. or maybe I’m following him. I don’t even know anymore.

a fine day for an epic Simple. 12.28.97 fits the bill.

you can’t walk on water at the bottom of the lake

    Walked out of 11/26/94 stunned.

Orpheum was fantastic start to stop. I don’t think I had ever heard Guyute before. I was kinda stunned.

Before we walked in (Erik and I, no MrsMiA) I was nervous as hell, like I had drank 3 cups of coffee. We had spent a bit of time at “The Skyway” bar on Hennepin waiting for the boomers to kick in.

    You guys are sick.

Field reports from the Left Coast indicate ‘Someday Past The Sunset > Tommorow Blues was epic’ & ‘Star or Stone was a slow burner w/ a redonkulous Neal solo’

GD is right. Everytime I listen to this show, I can almost smell the carpeting and must in that place.

So vivid where I was standing.

The Orpheum is a fantastic theater vs. The State Theater or First Avenue or even Eagle Ballroom. The Barrymore is a fun place but a bit of a dump.

Orpheum was the final “hook” for me.

    Great photos J’Zog

^ Smoker of a show. MFMF -> Possum was a great way to warm the winter bones and get everyone rolling. Of course , the Bowie from this show is out of control; in a good way.

Chicago was a good one too; a couple of days earlier. With Madison a couple of days earlier than these two. Nice Thanksgiving time run in the Midwest. Good times, music and memories.

  16. xpun Says:

Yeah great shots DF. I love the 4th one down. Looks like Trey is saying “you want a picture of me?”

  17. Spasm Waiter Says:

Great work on the photos DF. Nice to have something tangible to add to the good times and memories. Must be cool to capture those moments.

FB is killing me right now with the array of racist takes on Ferguson verdict and resulting national reactions. So sad, it makes you consider leaving this country forever.

Snow – dm’d you with a link you probably already read.

  19. vapebraham Says:

Chowing on breakfast tacos at the new Torchy’s location that opened in Mueller. Place is huge.
@mia & elihu – I would not be opposed to doing lunch here in the near future.

  23. MiA Says:

A massive Torchy’s taco. Like Walmart sized?

  24. tela's_muff Says:

@DF – i haven’t followed closely enough, did you get a photo pass?

  25. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @smuff
didn’t get there in time to grab the “boxset” but grabbed one of the GBV 1000 beers last night. will try tonight probably.

also got what might be my favorite new beer name: “Hoppiness is a Warm Pun” DIPA from Brewmaster Jack (Holyoke, MA). that one’s for turkey day. bottled less than a week ago. woot.
