Been listening to the Mann Fuego:
haven’t given it a spin since the day after. be proud @Dorn76.

–afterwards im jumping on board @Neemor’s rec. Summer 98 Wolfie sounds just about right.

  2. neemor Says:

    That Mann Fuego was brilliant.
The crowd, however, was not sharp.

  3. dorn76 Says:

    Umm, lout?

  4. dorn76 Says:

Thought the crowd was fine at the Mann, albeit even more grouchy & schwilly than usual for Philly given the rain delay.

In the walkway between the lawn and the seats, here there be spinners.

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

The tape of the Salem Armory show from 12/1/94 was worn out in college..

    Loved that one.

  6. neemor Says:

7.13.99 Wolfman’s would be my rec if a Wolfman it must be.
    (*Excluding Halloween ’98)

    Think I’m ready for both,

This Houston one just hit it off with a slow as syrup groove. wow

  8. little umbrellas Says:

any better auds available for streaming for the Wolf on Wolf follow up:
got the SBD of Houston going…

    Tweeter SBD?

  9. little umbrellas Says:

pretty sure there’s no one that touches a Slapbassline over a slowgroove like Mike.

  12. dorn76 Says:

I’ll send you a dropbox link to just the wolfman’s….

Don’t worry your furry little head over it.

what is shaking bb! i have been absent from the interwebz- nine days off of work- played in the snow 7/9 days- mostly skinning up and riding down low angled mountains in perfect pow conditions with the wild dog (one day of lift accessed). so good. i got a lot of family time in as well- lots of fun. a great way to end november.

i think i will start a december ’95 listening experiment. i have not done this yet and i am in the mood to explore, arguably, the phishiest month of the phishiest year. started with 12/1/95- a classic.

@lu and neemor- mann fuego is amazing. one of my favorite jams of ’14. mind blowingly and glowingly cool. i thought the philly crowd was great both nights-there was tons of energy. i was “In the walkway between the lawn and the seats, here there be spinners.” so, no one was talking, people getting straight funky and weird. one of my fondest concert memories in recent years.

  18. dorn76 Says:

We must’ve been chest hair-to-khaki down there, @HB. Gotta make it real next time.

“This is for the Michigan Crew. Anyone out there from Michigan?”

Trent Redznor before the Cypress Piper

  20. Random Poster...Nutbag Says:

Watching / listening to 12/1/95 at work. Trey was a chunky monkey back then. Perhaps he needs to carb load prior to NYE to get his shred on and satiate some of the Phan base!

  21. little umbrellas Says:

Innerspeaker is a great album. Finally gave it a full listen.

  22. HeadyBrosevelt Says:

trey may have been heavier in ’95, but not as heavy as that youtube video makes him look. everything looks stretched. some of those camera angles make trey look straight up obese- hilarious. i mean, obesity is not hilarious, but treigh looking obese is hilarious.

  23. MiA Says:

Thought I would respin The Grand Wazoo. Damn I love this album.

  24. Mr. Palmer Says:

Mann Fuego was a top 1 to 3 moment for me this summer.

Dropped a big old doser 5 minutes before delay announcement. Was solo in pav. Was a bit concern for my sanity. Only friendly face I saw in the pav that whole night was Miner. We were in similar predicaments I think.

Anyway, I digress…the Mann Fuego was a beauty immediately upon birth. Huge version. After that the song had a tough time reaching heights of Spac and Philly. Oh well. Still a big fan, I admit. Works as a big old rocker also.

  25. Mr. Palmer Says:

Seriously though. An hour and change , solo, as the dose kicks in. Not to mention that incredible storm blowing though. Then the PA blows with a huge lightning strike , and the lights go out.

In retrospect, very cool. At the time, a little bit of white-knuckler action.
