Yeah LP only has ALAC/FLAC of the standard variety for Island Tour, so you’re probably correct @C.

Final thing I need at the shore = vanilla fudge

garret, you probably just missed us. We were up at the campsite with music flowing until somewhere right around 3 I think. Then I took off for Shakedown shenanigans and the others crashed

    Amsterdam ’97 (box set)
    The Spectrum ’92
    Reynolds Coliseum ’99
    Darien Lake ’93
    Niagra Falls ’95 (box release)
    Ventura ’97/98 (box set)
    Blossom ’95

Star Lake ’98 (DVD + LP CD release)
    Auburn Hills ’97
    Chicago ’94
    Worcester ’91
    Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97 (box set)

that’s as far back as I think I need to go since you said Hampton wasn’t avail in 24bit

  7. [Not Tom] Says:

BSU, Rupp, and Jess are all available in HD.

  8. [Not Tom] Says:

    Reynolds is.

  9. MrCompletely Says:

yeah I think they only do 24bit for things mastered in 24bit

which could reasonably include late 90s stuff that’s on multi track

or even if the multis are 16bit there’s prob enough data there to be worth mastering in 24/96 or whatever

but 2 track 16 bit masters…re-releasing those in 24 would prob just be kind of a ripoff

Then I took off for Shakedown shenanigans and the others crashed

^ ah, a man after my own heart. if i could count the times i ventured off on my own after the others retired. and the great fun and wild peeps i’ve met in so doing. my only regret is there is no one from my crew to share it with. i love that time of night on lot. when the real freaks come out!

  11. MrCompletely Says:

I love my friends, I love hanging out with the people I came with….but I also love the randos, and I love being by myself in the scrum. and yeah that like 3 to 5am time frame is really when it gets interesting

too windy for dawn bubbles Sunday AM tho so I crashed around 4:30 for a few hours

  12. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    That Fri>Sat AM was epic!

  13. bobby weird Says:

the raves. the dark corners. the funny freaks and wooks, with the wildest of stories, the forgotten belly laughs, etc, etc… i live for that. also much easier to navigate efficiently and discreetly solo style.

  14. [Not Tom] Says:

pretty sure those 4 listed above plus Amsterdam box are all that are in HD prior to Festival 8

Jealous of those at Island Tour

  16. MrCompletely Says:

yeah Friday night to Saturday morning was golden. Pham was rocking the signup book. I got the bubbles going. That was the shit.

Saturday was a couple hours worth of tunes at the campsite, then over for double grilled cheese from JDY and company and disco party at the Wook Store

  17. [Not Tom] Says:

interesting that LivePhish doesn’t have the ’98 Hampton shows for sale that were released as Hampton Comes Alive.

Must be an Elektra Records issue I’m guessing. I can understand SS&P and ALO not being on LivePhish cause those are compilations and/or abridged versions of shows. But HCA was the first full show release. Interesting that it’s not in their library.

9.6.15 DwD – $$$. well done including that one in project 24. peaks like a champ. and the denouement – butter.

  19. vapebraham Says:

sumo: thanx for the Dam. can’t have clipped versions of these seminal shows.

  20. MrCompletely Says:

Dicks DWD was a no brainer. Even I remember that one.

  21. little umbrellas Says:

    Backwards down the 24’s

  22. Phamily Berzerker Says:

The Wook Store was so spectacular even with the sun up.

I cannot imagine what the wee hours were like.

Does the Wook Store do whole tour? Are they looking to anchor down , settle in for a long drawn out demise in Brick and mortar retail, or a t least a shoddy front to even poorly decisions?

  23. wilbard Says:

Filles, electric Byrd, Dreamers, y’all have taste.

  24. Calpain Says:

the freaks come out at night.

But long before this scene concludes
The end I’m seeking still eludes
    My every effort to apply
My will to moments passing by

But every time we say goodbye
    The pain I can’t identify
Reveals to me the hidden door
That leads to several moments more
