Time to throw rocks at Willowed

I know the Drowned ASIHTOS takes you to the storage jam. But there are so many more coherent and well constructed jams from this run

Not in my top 5. Sorry. Sling away.

    Still dope as fuck.

Now Blaze On. Yeah. Hot. Golden Age. Cross Eyed. Lawn Jam Simple. Yeah.

  4. MrCompletely Says:

nah you just have terrible taste in Phish is all, that’s okay

    I keed I keed

    like whatever you like

for me that pair far is head and shoulders above everything else…”coherent” and “well structured” could just be your words for “repetitive” or “familiar” or “oh that jam again”

but it really is just a matter of taste not quality

I got Drowned> Ocean Sings at the top of my mountain as well. Listened again today.. Wowzers.

Crosseyed next then a whole bunch of fun stuff after that.

Kamasi Washington playing NYC the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.. Nov 22.. I think I need to go although Terminal 5 sucks.

  6. Willowed Says:

Listen. I dig it. No doubt.

But for me I can’t put it on to the top of the mountain.

    Simple
    cross eyed
    Carini
    Blaze
    Lawn
    Ice

Others. I need to get thru my play list. First time thru. On deck. Solid buzz. High as fuck. Liked not loved

  7. Willowed Says:

    It’s fucking art

It’s like saying I dig the Picasso more than the Rembrandt.

    It doesn’t matter

    Don’t feed it.

Yeah 2017 summer tour. Obviously I love it Who else would buy a plane ticket on a wim

I have re-listened to the Carini > Mr. C and the CHI Simple more than anything else so far.

    Hot.

Here is the Scents video from Baker’s Dozen with the sick CK5 work… Start it at 11:00 and that part I was talking about with Mike is at 15:24. He’s not changing his sound too much but just starts to play more…

What I love about the BD Scents is that Page stays on the B-3 the whole time so it gets really trancey from the repetition… So good!

    You Sexy Thing…

Did I mention I live out in the woods and there is the family of bats that come out at sundown.

They usually stay 50 yards up in the sky. When I play the P Phish they swing down right near my umbrella on the deck.

Pretty cool. Bats dig the Phish.

    So there’s that.

Favorite streamed set was powdered set 2. Was playing poker and went from down $100 to up $700 while listening via mixlr . Favorite set live was glazed set 2 as it was my only in house of the run.

  16. MrCompletely Says:

Yah dude. Like what you like. Just busting balls and having fun. Embarrassment of riches here

  17. sumodie Says:

    Streaming Jamboy vid now, wowza

Have yet to make time to grab any audio DLs. Of course I’ve yet to get back on my exercise jawn either, which is when I primary listen to Phish

  18. Mr. palmer Says:

You Sexy Thing jam has easily gotten the most respins from me.

But I don’t have a ton of time for listening to the Crosseyed over and over again.

YouSexyThing, It’s Ice, Tube.. they all just get to the point for me so quick. Psych Funk, instant delivery.

Carini>Completely>1999> .. that stanza woulda been crazy crazy hype in house. So flowy and on, and has changes.. that was the last one I jammed but honestly it doesn’t have the most noticeable stuff to me on respin. That whole Carini Completely there isn’t one groove they lock into that sounds super unique to me.
The Drowned Ashitos are chalk full of that.. the groove in Simple they get into..

  22. little umbrellas Says:

.. the Blaze On has a super noticeable evil peak.

.. and the whole jam filled night it’s like I’m still processing. LawnBoy and Crosseyed are just absolutely massive and so so sick.

Probably Dust and Disease are the two that I’ve been sleeping on the hardest.

(Wolf Twist Waves also absolutely in my highlight list, … just the SexyThing, It’s Ice and Tube satisfy so instantaneously)

  23. little umbrellas Says:

    Drowned Ocean tho. Voyagers.

And don’t forget Golden Age , Steep. Epic phish.

… and the Mike’sGroove Set. Ridic phish.

Haven’t really been able to listen back to Lemon. Had me rocked so hard in house and is more of a flow night like Powdered.. Sunday Simple an easy call for respin that’s been in the phones.

    Embarrassment or riches no joke.

After hearing that version of Hitchhiker, I am so very much looking forward to this new (old) Neil Young archival record coming out next month… It is way superior to my ears to what he did with the song later with Daniel Lanois on Le Noise…

It was recorded today in 1976…

“On August 11th, 1976, Neil Young walked into Indigo Studios in Malibu and recorded 10 songs with his acoustic guitar. The results of that session are collected on Hitchhiker, a new Young LP due out on September 8th.”

Here’s what Young had to say about the Hitchhiker session in his 2014 memoir Special Deluxe:

“I spent the night there with David and recorded nine solo acoustic songs, completing a tape I called Hitchhiker. It was a complete piece, although I was pretty stony on it, and you can hear it in my performances. Dean Stockwell, my friend and a great actor who I later worked on Human Highway as a co-director, was with us that night, sitting in the room with me as I laid down all the songs in a row, pausing only for weed, beer, or coke. Briggs was in the control room, mixing live on his favorite console.”
