18 months ago I gave Leigh the same model JBL portable bluetooth speaker I have. Two days ago hers stopped playing or charging.

One year warranty expired already but AmEx to the rescue since they double the mfg’s warranty. Claim filed over the phone. Past experience says AmEx will credit me the $119 within 3 days, without even sending it to JBL for service.

Benefits … us ’em. Also, keep receipts.

Anybody know what adapter I would need to go from headphone jack on old stereo to phone?

Honesly every time I relisten to a BD jawn I’m hearing more thing and growing more impressed. Only just now getting into it in a more critical mode but def count me among those who put Drowned>Oceans near the top. CDT is far more than just a Hoody peak too, which is about all I remembered from it.

Lemon and Glazed are gonna stick with me as top live music experiences, no doubt. Such dank, textured, swinging grooves all over the place.

Trey is a notorious thief. As all artists are. Sometimes when I’m writing I’ll do it to a certain song, but after my brother puts his spin on it you would never know. I steal from Willie constantly. This is our secret.

  5. BingosBrother Says:

Writing wise, ive borrowed from the BB quite a few times. Some brilliant minds on here. Also stolen from my self on here after writing something. Hopefully Miner has been inspired by us.

  6. re.kus Says:

Bingos, if your phone has a headphone jack my best guess would be a 1/8″ to 1/4″ stereo audio cable.

While I really love the deep dives of Drowned >ASHITOS and Crosseyed, the Steep, Blaze, Chocdust and Golden Age have been getting a lot of spins over here.

  7. [Not Tom] Says:

why would you be plugging your phone into the headphone jack on your stereo?

    More deets please.

  8. [Not Tom] Says:

^ most phones have a 3.5mm headphone connection. And re.kus is correct that most stereo receivers have a 1/4″ headphone plug connection.

  9. re.kus Says:

Yea now that I think about it even if the plugs matched I’m not sure exactly what that would do. Is this a trick question?

  10. [Not Tom] Says:

Maybe Bingos wants his phone to be able to listen to Tweezer/Killers in 24/96. Surely the circuit board on Phone would be able to discern an audible difference (in 1s and 0s) even if our human ears supposedly cannot.

  11. The Flesh Says:

I hope this run inspired miner to do a highlights post. Need a new miner playlist to listen to

  12. BingosBrother Says:

I thought I knew what I wanted, but now I’m not sure. Lol. So, old systems don’t have the aux input, just headphones and I wanna play music from my phone through my old systems speakers.

  13. [Not Tom] Says:

Bingos, what you want to do is use a 3.5mm->Stereo RCA(female ends) cable to connect your phone to just about any input on the rear of your stereo, except for the input meant for a phono/turntable (which has a different preamp situation).

This will convert the speaker level output of your phone to a line level input for your receiver. Make sure to set your phone’s volume a little lower than max setting to reduce chance for distortion.

  14. [Not Tom] Says:

Also, since your phone is doing the digital-to-analog conversion (DAC), I’m sure Mr. C will chime in about the benefits of using an outboard DAC for this conversion, since most DACs built into phones aren’t that great. This is only if you intend to use this setup for more than just the occasional listen.

  15. BingosBrother Says:

    Ok sweet. Thanks.

Izabella Beach Ball story! Nice had missed that.

@Jdub, totes know that It’s Ice moment where trey and page echoes the riff. Dorn actually pointed it out in the hotel when listening and hanging out.

    Pickle Rick!!! Amazing

So behind! Read back commencing, heart is already a flutter within a few glances. BB killing it with the feels and laughs these days.
Hope everyone is having a grand day!

Guns N’ Roses was a blast. Friend brought me drumsticks and picks off stage from the last show 🙂 the crowd was kinda lame (stagnant), but I found/created rockin pockets here and there. Most people felt compelled to tellhow me how much older they were….wierd…They actually jammed out some of the songs, even got lost in the music a few times. Slurpin weed butter all night got me in this half step rock mode. Lil trippy. Def got face rocked off. Wanted it louder, probably shoulda just gotten closer

Jerz Shore Beach vacation time. Sun just came out.

Gotta try to not suck up too much of the oxygen reliving the shows and telling donut jokes with my bro in law and his wife, who with me make up half of Team Chomper from last Sunday night on the floor.

I usually go a self imposed Phish listening hiatus leading up to Dicks, but man the wealth of BD goods is making it real hard this year.

  21. Frankie Says:

Just uploaded the Electric Beethoven show I saw last september at Nectar’s for a friend so I thought I would share it here since I know many of you would enjoy it…

Best live music show I’ve seen last fall for sure! Opens up with a 49 minute version of In Memory of a Great Man…

    Check it out!

  22. Willowed Says:

This is the first weekend that I really have been able to dig into this BD run

Man. The Scents jam. Top notch plinko calypso type jamming.

And this Jibboo. Holy smokes. So clean. Pure heat.

  23. StitchStash Says:

At the airport catching up on the BB and the BD.

Just wanted to make a quick comment before I get on this plane for Kenny Powers with cheap ideas for your fiances birthday. Dick in a box is by far my favorite suggestion but if that doesn’t work out for you, make her a card with a love letter inside. You could also make a bouquet of paper flowers but you might want to save that for your first anniversary if you’re doing that sort of thing.

  24. Willowed Says:

I’m not certain on this, but I could of sworn I saw comments knocking the BD Ghost. If so, shame on you.

This is hot. Doesn’t get out there but this is a pure, high energy rocker.

Remember kids, this is a rock band.

  25. sumodie Says:

We got our 3rd Gin peak where our Ghost jam should be

I can still see the room when that massive peak hit tho
