5.21.76 Knockin on Heaven’s Door – so slow it could stop (grateful) dead in its tracks at any moment. a low ommm rolls through the whole tune, or at least that’s how i hear it.
Thoughts on the Eel: too much awesome. Don’t skip over Twilight. That’s jerry doing some Jerry shit right there. Or C’este La Vie, Shining Star, Don’t Let Go, I’ll take a Melo…….just spin all of it. 🙂
What a sick set of music. It’s been a bit while looking to join back into their thing what with a job and such. Seems I don’t fit in. Anywhere. Makes me scared if I’m being honest. I can’t even pretend to like them.
Love Mono Neon on bass, so wet and $$$. Guitarist – Peter Knudsen, was also great (clean and free w/ no effects) but got drowned out a bit by keyboards and impressive twin sax/flute attack (little guy Jonathan Mones is killer). Super Tight band crushing original jazz funk material, but light on pure full band improv. plenty of danceable grooves and interesting sounds that invoke George Duke, Herbie, Eddie Harris, Hubert Laws, the 2Oth Congress, & Prince. There was a $$$ tribute ballad to Kofi – classy touch Go see them
The worm-rided sky
Gorge Twist is a big favorite of mine for 2018. That and Albany 20YL are the most psychedelic fun you can have in under 15 min.

Like the Get Out My Life Woman on the new JGB release.
@Sumo: if you’re out there please send The Eel over here. Happy 50th!
