Having just visited Tennessee for three shows this past tour, this weekend, let’s look back at Phish’s visit to the state in Fall ’95.  Both of these shows often go overlooked in the monstrosity of this tour, but both are filled with great Phish.  Bela Fleck, one of the guests that routinely jives with the band, sat in for much of Nashville’s second set- climaxing with a gorgeous “Slave” that sees Trey and Bela shredding cohesively.

@Col Cool YEM story…Yem, for me, was the first song that made me get it
that being the version on ALO soon thereafter Junta…must admit the vocal jam always bugs me out a little when im there….

After setting up two tents in my backyard this weekend, to decide which one to take to the Gorge (toss up between 3 pers tent or a 6 pers, the 6 pers tent won) I am ready and geared up, counting down the days!!!!

    Happy Sunday to all!!!!!!!

Just in tribute to Dirksen and that YEM review, here’s a clip from his review of the spectacular 12/2/97 MikeSGroove that I’ve been listening to today. I love this guy:

“Easily one of the most incredible versions Phish has ever performed.
And if you disagree, meet me at a show so I can dismember you
limbxlimb, since you aren’t worthy of the blessing of Life.

This is one of those sets of Phish from 1997 that you’d be A COMPLETE
JACKASS to avoid. The DFBoy and the YaMar by themselves warrant
hearing this set at all costs if you consider yourself a serious
fanboy. My personal favorite versions of DFBoy and YaMar for damn
sure.. the jam out of YaMar has to be one of my personal favorite
improvisations from Phish!! It is AWESOME!!! And it segues -> into a
    *SPECTACULAR* Weekapaug!!!”

Check out this Runaway Jim clip from Alpine. If this is where fan videos are going we’re all in for a good time this fall:

Does anybody have 3 Merriweather tickets that they’d be willing to sell for face? If so please email at bkayda@gmail.com.

Sorry if this is seen as spamming. I am excited as ever for Red Rocks, hopefully they are fresh and have worked out all of the kinks in the first leg. Needless to say they will tear the place apart. Forbin’s in Red Rocks.
