Jam of the Day:

Mike’s > Horse > Silent” 10.29.96 II

This nugget of darkness finds Phish in Tallahassee, amidst their last set before Halloween ’96. Playing with Karl Perazzo, warming up for Remain In Light, the band sat into a thick “Houses In Motion” groove during “Mike’s” second jam.

“one board to rule them all and on summer tour bind them”

    Don’t forget the J of Doom, C.

Looking at a 12er of mighty arrow right now, coupled witha nice family dinner and a dominating round of Risk or Monlpoly unitl the kiddos drop, then snowt00bs.

today was sweet. first turns in waist deep for the forst half of the day. Followed by weed-adled high speed cruiser runs wih one or two turns. all under blue blue blue skies.

so sweet infact that we are going agian tomorrow as the kiddos have friends from school up here and that keeps the kidss engage while the parents enjoy themselves.

DId no one dload and listen to the DOTD yesterday?

its always a great choice. haven’t had one in a while though. i need to fix that.

  3. Mr. Palmer Says:

@verno- just ripped through that Tweezer! Yes you are correct, gets wild there for a while. Trey looks like he’s having quite the time during this show (wink, wink).

  4. verno329 Says:

@Berzerker Ha! I had almost forgot about the J of Doom.

  5. Marshall Says:

7.16.94 has NO2 in the first set and Catapult in the second set. Now THAT’S Phishy!

  6. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

That 7.16.94 Antelope is just insane.

  7. Marshall Says:

OK – the Mighty Arrow is gone.

Next pick from the remaining five (previous page)????

  8. Marshall Says:

Yes it is FKABK, yes it is.

  9. Mr. Palmer Says:

    quiet night on the BB….

  10. Marshall Says:

Rattle and Hum just started on Palladia. One of the better rock concert movies, IMO.

  11. Mr. Palmer Says:

I must have watched Rattle and Hum 300x when i was in college. Very good movie, i agree with you Marshall. Unless of course you hate U2.

I liked their earlier stuff much more than the newer material.

  12. Marshall Says:

I saw U2 once, on their Zooropa tour (with Public Enemy opening??). Would rather have seen them indoors three or four years ago.

  13. Marshall Says:

^ Make that Zoo TV (Achtung Baby tour).

  14. verno329 Says:

@Mr P Starting at Waves now

  15. Mr. Palmer Says:

I’ve seen them 2 or 3 times my self. Indoors in the last 5 or 6 years. I thought the best show was one where i took a bunch of E. go figure.

  16. Marshall Says:

Euphorics and live music … go figure.

  17. Mr. Palmer Says:

@verno- just got through the Seven Below- that was a sick jam as well. Weird second set. I could potentially see how some people might not dig the show. Definitely a true Phish 2.0 show. Complete with wild improve excursions, along with Trey almost falling a few times.

I dunno who of y’all are running Firefox out there, but the newest upgrade lets you choose “themes” for your browser… I’m currently tricked out with a nice tie dyed grateful dead frame around my web surfing!

Also, been listening to a lot of ’09 Phish lately, after not listening to much at all, and it’s definitely real real good…

  19. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

Yeah, I’ve been jamming a whole lot of 2009 Phish in the past couple weeks. Good stuff

  20. garretc Says:

I was about to say that this Hartford show is particularly hot, but then I realized that no, most of them have been this good… Haha

But yeah. Hartford is the bee’s knees…

  21. voopa Says:

Firefox has had themes for a while now…I run mine dark.

Rattle and Hum was a favorite of mine through college too. Achtung came out a year or two after I graduated (I became one of those losers that hung around campus, continuing to date and sell drugs to students), and I spent many a night dosed with friends with that in the rotation. The first time I heard that album I declared, “U2 HAS TAKEN ACID!!”

  22. garretc Says:

Oh Trey, you crotchety old man railing against iphones and video games…

  23. ChefBradford Says:

verno- I clicked on your name. You have all those shows on DVD? Are there terms for trade, etc?

    Particularly interested in PH 6/22/00

  24. cal Says:

voopa–LLFA! When Achtung came out, I only knew what acid was because of the anti-drug programs in my high school…

I’ve seen U2 11 times over the past 18 years or so, and I’m amazed every time. There’s just a connection between those songs and me and those four guys that bowls me over. Maybe it’s an Irish thing. I really wouldn’t want them to try and improvise. There’s so much energy as is.

How do you mess with “themes” in Firefox? Never realized that was possible.

  25. garretc Says:

@cal, under the Bookmarks section there’s a “Mozilla Firefox” folder, and inside that a “Customize Firefox” bookmark. Easy from there!

On my mac at least… Hope it’s the same for windows if you’re on that!
