Deer Creek '00 (Distante)

Following up the last two downloads, this show completes Phish’s three-night run at Deer Creek in 2000. The second set featured, perhaps, the three most-often payed songs of summer in “Jibboo, “Sand,” and “Twist.” The strong playing of the second set continued with “Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb.”

I: Cars Trucks Buses , Wilson, It’s Ice, Bathtub Gin, Buffalo Bill, My Mind’s Got a Mind of its Own, Split Open and Melt, Sparkle, Funky Bitch, David Bowie

II: Gotta Jibboo, Sand, Twist, Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb By Limb, Loving Cup

E: Run Like an Antelope

    @Robear (from yesterdays thread)
I’ve been busy is all, I guess. Barely have time for the blackboard, let alone digging around for tough tickets!

    @gdad and budsticky
Well, it remains to be seem if I’ll have the time to head over in search of a ticket, although the inclination is certainly there… But it’s true, if I don’t try there’s 0% chance of getting in…

  4. voopa Says:

C’mon out, garretc! We’ll have the extra posse in full effect.

Whoa, I should get to bed…

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

so maybe I missed the memo, but what is the track listing for today’s audio post? feels like the “Trip Through the Late 90s” mix but I know that is not it.

  12. sneven Says:

TIII – I think it is supposed to represent “The Calm Before the Storm.”

Be safe all you travelling BB’ers!

  13. Seif Says:

Love, Love, Love that first sound clip this morning.

  14. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

oh, I get that sneven, I just would love to have the track listing is all. I realize it is probably bits and pieces taken from a variety of sources. and I think I know a few of them so I am curious to see how far off I am on this.

  15. kenny powers Says:

listened to most of set I from 8/28/93 (@ The Greek) this morning on the way in…that FOB that surfaced last week on Etree is pristine quality. I know there’s a SBD, which i have, but i am just now hearing the show in its AUD glory and this one’s a keeper.

  16. kenny powers Says:

Man, Trey’s fingers were fast in ’93

  17. kenny powers Says:

although i have to say, now that my ears have grown accustomed to the more patient, mature, smooth and silky sound of Trey in Phish 3.0, the early ’90s shred-fests can almost get a bit grating after a while. Sometimes he wacks off with his guitar in those high registers for the bulk of the jam, and while sick at times it does get a bit show-offy.

But I guess you gotta prove yourself technically first and then let the inspiration flow from a higher place to create the real shit.

  18. willowed Says:

That Calm Before the Storm Mix is putting me into a trance at work. My coworker just came in and saw me with my eyes rolled back in my head swaying back and forth like a baby sucking on a bottle clenched to his woobie. Then i noticed a big pile of drool on my desk.
    Not a pretty sight…and it’s only 8:20 a.m.

  19. BTB Says:

    Safe travels everybody!!

  22. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

your morning moment of awww that sucks

stay with it. you know what is going to happen but you need to watch it to get there. be patient… the payoff is worth it.

  23. b-rock Says:

Track 1 of “The Calm” = something from Cypress… I think it’s the latter part of Rock and Roll.

  24. SillyWilly Says:

    What a great audio post.

this is how everyone of my mornings should go

  25. b-rock Says:

Correction — Track 1 is the end of the Cypress Twist.
