Deer Creek '00 (Distante)

Following up the last two downloads, this show completes Phish’s three-night run at Deer Creek in 2000. The second set featured, perhaps, the three most-often payed songs of summer in “Jibboo, “Sand,” and “Twist.” The strong playing of the second set continued with “Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb.”

I: Cars Trucks Buses , Wilson, It’s Ice, Bathtub Gin, Buffalo Bill, My Mind’s Got a Mind of its Own, Split Open and Melt, Sparkle, Funky Bitch, David Bowie

II: Gotta Jibboo, Sand, Twist, Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb By Limb, Loving Cup

E: Run Like an Antelope

    James Brown’s Funky People Vol. I-III

    fits in nicely with the No Whitey mixes AW has made as of late, though a bit more ‘one dimensional’ in that it is all in the JB family tree.

    @t3

    AWESEOME. I love that the reporter feels the need to stick the mic in the guys face after the fact.

    deer creek 2000 were my glory days, fresh out of high school, just back from two weeks in europe, and raging like a bull. it was four nights of mayhem in the cornfields the likes of which i’ll never forget. oh those were the days….

  6. b-rock Says:

    Agreed Silly – this audio post is the deal. Sounds great on a rainy Wednesday morning.

    T3 – i don’t imagine you have the link to that “No Whitey” mix? I must have missed it.

    My work wont let me access Mediafire but the URL shows up temporarily in the address bar, so as long as I copy and paste the link onto my “links for later” doc…

  15. Sneaking Allie Through the Alley Says:

    Good Morning BB!
    @Silly – you’ve got mail.

  16. kenny powers Says:

    On another stat note, I just realized that after this year more than 1/3 of my total Phish shows will have been in 3.0, and I’ve been seeing them since 1994.

    It is a tragedy that I was as broke as I was and too scared to blow off college for days to go on tour road trips back in late 90s. Something is terribly wrong with the fact that I only saw 2 shows in 1999, and it was a 2-nighter at the same place.

  17. fat bastard Says:

    had a few drinks w my neighbor last night and after i went in for the kill…she turned her cheek and said “i think you’re a really nice guy.” fuckin bitch
