Deer Creek '00 (Distante)

Following up the last two downloads, this show completes Phish’s three-night run at Deer Creek in 2000. The second set featured, perhaps, the three most-often payed songs of summer in “Jibboo, “Sand,” and “Twist.” The strong playing of the second set continued with “Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb.”

I: Cars Trucks Buses , Wilson, It’s Ice, Bathtub Gin, Buffalo Bill, My Mind’s Got a Mind of its Own, Split Open and Melt, Sparkle, Funky Bitch, David Bowie

II: Gotta Jibboo, Sand, Twist, Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb By Limb, Loving Cup

E: Run Like an Antelope

    HAH…and now Piper comes on (still listening to 7/31)…this is the tune I wanted to hear when I got home 3 hours ago…I forgot that request in the meantime,…

  5. Jtran Says:

    Evening BB!

    Glad to see Garret C checking in a couple pages back. If you’re here, hope you’re still planning on heading over to the Greek tomorrow regardless.

    Ticket hunt for JB2 didn’t really happen today, as I spent my day swimming and at work, but New York CL really shows me the things I don’t like about NYC. Don’t take that wrong NYCers, there’s a lot I do like.

    Back to catching up on comments..If anyone wants to spin a little something let me know.

  6. voopa Says:

    Heh @ DF…I’ve been planning for a 20G buffer at a torrent site so I can get all of leg 2. Sounds like you need more HD space (and I may need a better moral compass)

  7. Jtran Says:

    Actually Miner’s mix this morning inspired me. If anyone wants to listen to 6/9/00 Tweezer I’m gonna start it up at 11:40 ET

  8. gavinsdad Says:

    true C…i just meant the Burn trickle down that’s happened over the years…where the theatrics/costuming/kook vibe has been marketed and the art/cosmic warrior/DIY/gonzo part has been marginalized by time going by and the Cheese injection. that surely didn’t make sense but whatever…you know where i’m comin from…travel light.

    (ps…stoners are very silly…just spent a few minutes watching bongTV youtube clips…i really think what’s happening in California is just totally beyond my comprehension) shitty hip hop production companies called Kushhouse records? c’mon now…at one point there was something to be said for subtlety. i just might be getting to old, or too East Coast….Cali is simply another planet right now.

  9. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    ha yeah i got the HD space but i like to keep all of my music ipoded so i’m gonna need to be another ipod soontimes, i’m trying to hold out until they come out with a bigger one, but who knows when that is

  10. RamblinOnMyMind Says:

    hey, i know this is a dumb question, but…how do you check to see how much room you have left on your computer?

  11. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    mac or PC?

  12. voopa Says:

    Wow, how revealing and embarrassing…how ’bout this instead:

    greek greek greek

  13. RamblinOnMyMind Says:

    pc

  14. Gratefulcub Says:

    C: page already has a few companions. Ha!!

    Never disappointed with a strange design. Maybe my favorite phish ballad.

  15. voidboy Says:

    Cali is really in a different space. You should check out the “Herb for Life” medical clinics (they’ll even deliver)… take some “butter” make a cookie… and find a place to sit down for the rest of the day… all you need is a ‘script (and it’s legal!). No wonder the place is peeling at the seams.

  16. voopa Says:

    @Ramblin

    right-click on My Computer, click properties…it should all be right around there somewhere.

  17. Jtran Says:

    My Computer, then right click > properties of the disc drive you’re interested in @ Ramblin

  18. Gavinsdad Says:

    Gcub: you hitting Midwest shows this leg or might you time one of your east coast swings to coincide with the JBs?

  19. RamblinOnMyMind Says:

    Thanks for the help! I have 24.9g of free space left…that’s bad, right?

  20. Gavinsdad Says:

    Right Void…when I was out there for work in May LA just seemed so unreal to me…I couldn’t make the dispensary thing real…seemed like I was in a scifi movie set or something.

  21. jdub Says:

    just spent 13 hours in the shop and am now melting in my chair with a beer and Miner’s mix from today. Freaking exhausted.

    Anyone have the track listing on this mix. Ambient Phish grooves are just what I need right now.

  22. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    ha yes, that is quite bad ramblin, i wouldn’t go any lower than that if i were you

  23. voopa Says:

    @Ramblin

    Depends. That’s a petty healthy chunk-o-space, but if you plan on getting the 2nd leg in 24 bit, then that will eat up most of that. You should keep 20% of any drive free.

  24. RamblinOnMyMind Says:

    @jdub:

    tracklisting for today’s post:

    Cypress Twist
    12/8/99 Piper
    10/9/99 My Left Toe
    6/9/00 Tokyo Tweezer

  25. Jtran Says:

    @jdub

    I think (from memory)

    Cypress Twist
    12/8/99 Piper
    10/9/00 My Left Toe
    6/9/00 Tweezer
