    what a night

the energy and the location were so insane up in the mountains

1st set I didn’t really get. playing some hits and a real nice Stash. Light Up is nice to hear. dug the rockin Julius to close. not a great set and didn’t have much flow but def not bad. kids seemed to love it

I loved the second set. not the greatest flow and some moments that came off a little weird but in general the jamming hit very high points. that’s what we’re all here for anyway.

the jam out of Caspian. Stash. Sand and Piper were hot as hell.

Piper seemed to be smokin to this kid.

Mighty Quinn was the perfect encore

just a fun show in the mountains with some peak 3.0 jamming sprinkled throughout

but like I said this show for me was just seeing the band in the most beautiful pristine environment you could imagine. so much extra space and it sounds great throughout the park. like having Phish play at a small campground. really nice

tonight will slay. this will be the heater.

    ^ agree with aw’s analysis…

    Sand
    Caspian > MLB jam
    Boogie On
    Piper

all really good jamming…note the absence, def threw me when they were sitting into the Telluride Tweezer and then decided against….

Piper is easily the highlight of the show. No Brainer. More cohesive than MPP.

  12. willowed Says:

    AW and Miner.
What is the highlight of your days there? Non music related.

  13. willowed Says:

I assume there have been times where you have stepped back and said………….

  14. albert walker Says:

    yeah being a tweezer junkie

getting all pumped for the second west coast tweezer up in the mountains that is pretty cruel to just jump off that slick as groove they were droppin

    strange

  15. BTB Says:

Aj – not at all. This is amazing.

I agree with the comments above regarding the show.

Looking for some more cohesive jamming tonight.

Great time though. It feels like a dream. Very dreamy actually.

  16. albert walker Says:

best place to see a Phish show Willow

    words can’t describe it

so much room. so mellow. heavenly scenery. just perfect.

laterz ya’ll. probably see you in there tonight Miner

  17. willowed Says:

It’s so obvious thay you guys are absorbing every part of it.

Phish in Telluride. Goose pimples just typing it.

  18. BTB Says:

    Sand had some great grooves.

Danced my ass off as usual last night.

Amazing venue. I got some good sunset pics.

Phish tell souvenir cups are pretty cool. $5 new belgiums? I can live with that!

    Still waiting…

  19. GratefulTony Says:

Hey– btw. does anybody know how many people are attending the telluride shows?

  20. gavinsdad Says:

loved when KWL asked Aintnotele if he “was upstairs” on the BB instead of going up the steps. that is some funny shit.

  21. Mr. Completely Says:

not going to have much time to be around this week

all is good here in PDX

jealous of the mountaineers of course

hehehe I keep calling the new group improv style “tantric jamming” in my head but it’s too loaded a term for general use….but that’s what it really is…

not about tension and release at all

    totally different dynamic

  22. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

“Hey, I posted yesterday about the 8/6 -7 being out of tune (and perhaps that why they bailed on it early, as it wasn’t working), and someone (don’t remember who) said I was crazy. Re-listening, and no way, I was right! Pfft!”

@negev, i was just calling you crazy in general, not in reference to the out of tune thing πŸ˜‰

  23. gavinsdad Says:

BTB – you always speak your mind. not a fluffer. i was dosed outta my head at Raleigh loving everything and Marshall was actually screaming about how good it was at halftime and you were like, “it’s ok”. will be excited to read here one day when they blow your head off.

  24. lastwaltzer Says:

Dancing fool always starting a fight πŸ˜‰

I can’t wait for this moment at the BBQ:

DF: WHAT DON’T YOU GET THE CAMDEN CHALKDUST IS THE SAME FUCKING JAM AS THE MSG LIGHT AND ITS NOT AS GOOD!

:Random blackboarder throws potato salad everyone was scared to eat at Dancing Fool:

  25. yanzlow Says:

yeah it was a short tweezer, my thinking is it got too funky and they had no choice but to start boogieing. “the funk is too deep!”
