I’ve seen people talking about Fela Kuti and finally grabbed some. This shit is awesome!!!

  2. kenny powers Says:

    it’s expensive, too.

  3. Jtran Says:

    Good evening BB

  4. Jtran Says:

Lycan, just threw on that show…I’ll admit I haven’t listened to you guys in a while..when you said mellow I said that sounds good for right now.

    Liking it so far.

  5. plord Says:

@Guyute can’t go wrong with Fela.

@Miner can’t go wrong with Ott either. I assume you have the _Elucidations_ comp from L.S.D. records and are familiar with “Ott vs. Billy the Kid” ? That track kills me in 6 different ways, every time.

@BB in general, when miner posts _Hallucinogen in Dub_ go get that shit immediately. It is the real sauce.

Me, today: biked a couple miles in spotty rain towing my two youngest in the Burly, to the Shelburne Orchard local food festival, gorged on fresh local everything (handmade ice cream!), then biked back home with the two of them + 50 lbs of apples we picked. Legs == tired. I’ll do more of that but I think we’ll finally break down and buy a second car this week.

  6. Guyute711 Says:

yeah plord I mean I expected it to be good based on recommendations but this shit is more than good. Real Deal shit!!!

  7. plord Says:

@guyute Did you pull the Fela from Mr. C’s Mediafire? The rest of the stuff in that Africa folder is also choice. I’m digging the Tinariwen and Orchestre Poly-Rythmo most but seriously there’s something to love in every one of those zips.

  8. Lycanthropist Says:

a lot of factors contributed, but it was a total different approach than we usually take to the shows..

but i think overall it worked out good.

  9. Guyute711 Says:

Pulled some OPR too, I’ll be dipping into this in the future for sure. Thanks Mr C!

  10. Lycanthropist Says:

did you ever pull those shows i suggested?

  11. Andrew Says:

Guyute – be sure to read some bio on Fela. The man’s almost more of a message than a musician. True strength in a land where artistic vision is trumped by government corruption. Truly the Real Deal. Always found it ironic his voice came about the same time as Marley’s, as well as the explosion of mind-altering music in Europe and the US…cosmic indeed.

  12. Guyute711 Says:

    I grabbed one Lycan.

  13. Guyute711 Says:

I’ll def have to read up Andrew, I am intrigued to say the least.

  14. Jtran Says:

    Slooow night around here, huh?

  15. Lycanthropist Says:

    indeed it is Jtran

  16. Jtran Says:

I’m still on Rattlesnake llfa…girl came over, watching the VMAs, making fun of Justin Bieber.

    Will be continuing soon.

  17. Lycanthropist Says:

    ol Justin Beiber…

that kid is set up for failure. Puberty is gonna suck for hm

  18. Lycanthropist Says:

what did you think of Square Root of One..

that is a brand new CF song

  19. Mr.Palmer Says:

    Whats up?

Lycan- got Spiraling Down on now. Did you get your Charleston tickets? Seems that was the easiest ticket of the Fall. Not sure why. I guess it is the biggest venue besides Boardwalk Hall.

  20. Mr.Palmer Says:

When you guys are in NYC for NYE.

    I heard it’s pretty good.

  21. Lycanthropist Says:

yeh I should be good on Charleston

  22. BrandonKayda Says:

    Hey BB

What’s up with you all tonight?

  23. Jtran Says:

    Liked it a lot.

  24. Mr.Miner Says:
