  1. Robear Says:

i need to do some yoga.

    with or without phish

  2. ChefBradford Says:

I spent 8 years in the Boy Scouts of America (say what you will, I don’t really give a fuck), earned my Eagle. Never once shat in a tent, or a bag.

Ever heard of a spade, or a shovel?

    Fuck

  3. butter Says:

    lol Chef

  4. butter Says:

the thing is i’m not on some campaign to prove people do yoga and listen to Phish (but they are coming out of the woodwork like crazy)

i drop comments about my personal life and spirituality on here, gotta expect some crap

  5. ChefBradford Says:

butter, I think that if you drop comments about yourself on the Internet in general, in a public forum similar to the BB, you have to expect some crap, it’s not an isolated thing (obviously)

this place is usually and for the most part more open-minded and accepting of varied opinions, but it’s never going to be completely even-tempered discourse

but, for the most part, it works

  6. butter Says:

    i’m all good

trying to not take things personally doesn’t always come naturally for me

oh shit at 14:30 minutes in i just realized this is the 1 hr jim

  7. ChefBradford Says:

I may be in the minority, but I enjoyed “the 1 hr jim”

Hope you enjoy at least some of the movements

Wish I lived in PDX so I could take Manatee’s class. Good people.

The way Hopkins pushes Jerry is what makes his stint in JGB some of my favorite music ever. When they were on (which happened VERY sporadically) it was so freaking good. Transcendent. I love Keith and the stuff with Merl and Melvin, but Hopkins seems to continually bait and challenge, which brings out some truly majestic playing in the big man. Tutt and Kahn (while no slouches) must have had a blast just sitting back in the cut and watching those two square off. Freaking love it.

  9. butter Says:

yes on Jer and Nicky Hopkins just love it (thats the one i mailed to you Miner)

and yes on @Manatee’s class, you had a few wise posts mixed in there when i was to heated to notice

26 minutes in, been good…i think this is where it gets tinker tonky

    Phish Yogi’s unite

  10. butter Says:

or get in a fight 😉

    namaste

  11. butter Says:

32 minutes in Alien encounter mode

  12. ChefBradford Says:

butter, perfect it’s not, but it’s an interesting journey, and interesting for the fact that they tackled something like that in an “ordinary” show, rather than, say, the fourth set of a weekend festival or something

  13. butter Says:

min 35-42 have been pretty uneventful

band basically stops, minus 1 loop, going to super quite ambient space at 42:30

  14. butter Says:

i like whats coming out of this space its like a type 3

  15. butter Says:

that hour jim actually went by pretty fast

  16. ChefBradford Says:

    Not so bad, yeah?

  17. butter Says:

yea i dug it, it had some boring meandering sections, but fun hour

  18. ChefBradford Says:

    =worth a listen, and not a throw-away

  19. butter Says:

1 hr Jim is good Phish, there are some very interesting sections, just not really any straight heat in there

i can see why with a 1 hour jam you might want some heat or a big pay off

  20. butter Says:

Now, this Cypress Sand>Quad is some heat

  21. butter Says:

    halfway thru

  22. butter Says:

some exploratory space in that Jim, for sure

  23. butter Says:

    good night

    peace

  24. Themanatee Says:

I’m hoping to bring phish yoga around the country as a weekend workshop
So keep me in mind – getting marketing materials together and will let you know where and when to look. Talk to your studios 🙂

Dang, I definitely waited too long before making Portishead a part of my life. Listening to “Third” for the first time, pretty cool stuff.
