Jam of the Weekend:

Harry Hood” 7.25.03 I

The quintessential post-hiatus “Harry Hood.”

Phish Confirmed At Watkins Glen?

A local blog from New York State, Bands That Jam, is claiming that Watkins Glen is official, contracts have been signed, and that the festival will be an 8-set, Phish-only affair from June 30-July 3rd! Let’s hope this report is correct. I’m not doubting anyone’s journalistic integrity, but one can’t believe anything until it’s on Phish.com.

did the time get changed to mountain time? time stamp says it’s an our ahead of cali

  2. BingosBrother Says:

I see a different problem for the promoters. Nobodys gonna leave on July 4th. Its a Monday which most people have off and its not like you’re gonna have the time or energy to go to any parties at home, so why not stay and have our own celebration for a while. If I was in an upcoming band, I’d set up Monday and show the people what I got.(not you DMB)

  3. oneshowatatime Says:

i still find myself cueing up that 46 days any time i get in the car and want to rock out hard–absolutely raging–can’t wait to pick up a remastered copy!

  4. oneshowatatime Says:

“not really a 4th celebration if they don’t play that day.. if i go, and i will if this is the set up, seems silly that i will be sleeping off a long weekend amidst fireworks displays.”

Really? who cares about the 4th that much after the age of 13. I’m sure Phish will have their own bad ass fireworks on the 3rd anyway.

  5. BingosBrother Says:

Yo BB, I need your help. my kid wants to create CD’s to give out to her girl scout troop. Problem is she wants to transfer songs from her itunes onto a CD. anyone know how to do this? Would make a buncha 9 year olds happy.

  6. bane Says:

Make a playlist. Then in the lower right click the burn button. Or file > burn playlist or something. (going off memory)

  7. neemsbane. Says:

Make a playlist. Go to the lower left and click burn. Or file > burn playlist. Or something like that. (going off memory)

  8. neemsbane. Says:

    Lower right I mean.

  9. Jtran Says:

Just create a playlist in itunes that you want to burn onto the cd, then put a blank CD into the computer…itunes should recognize the blank and prompt you, just choose the playlist you want to burn.

  10. BingosBrother Says:

    10-4 good buddies.

  11. BrandonKayda Says:

Create a playlist and burn. Yep.

  12. BrandonKayda Says:

There was a 46 Days from this year that went in to a really cool little jam that almost sounded like a new song or something. Maybe that was the 8/7 version. MPP 46 Days ripped as well – big heavy build up in the second “jam” section – big highlight to end the set IMO

  13. guitarpicker420! Says:

I think it far more likely that they play sat-sun-monday for the 4th weekend.

  14. Mr. Palmer Says:

11.26.94 Bowie from KP Tier 2. quite adventurous. 37 minutes of wtf.

  15. sumodie Says:

who said phish wasnt playin the 4th? only confirm is phish only watkins

    patience…go spin 9 29 99’s 2001 & let the groove take u away 8)

  16. Little Buddy Says:

    What up kidz?

Haven’t checked in for a while. I saw a page or two ago peeps were trying to figure out flight plans for the Watkins thing. You might want to look at flying into Buffalo. They get Southwest flights and tend to be cheaper than ROC or SYR. It would a 3 hr drive instead of 2 from the ROC, but a 3 hr drive to a festie is cake, right? After all those drives to the edge of the earth up in Maine…

Re: the dates. It will be Fri, Sat, Sun me thinks. Phish wants people to come and it’s just more likely that people will get work off for Fri thru Mon than Sat thru Tues. That’s my take anyway. They’ll prob do something like fireworks at midnight on the 3rd so they can say that they have the first 4th of July 4th fireworks display of 2011 or something goofy like that. I don’t really care which way they go with it, but that’s my guess – Fri thru Sun.

    Hope all are well.

  17. guitarpicker420! Says:

Or, you could drive your buddy’s parent’s rv 10 hours out to the festi, but that’s just me.

  18. phoammhead Says:

i agree Fri, Sat & Sun makes the most sense to me and works for my work and travel plans best

on Mon the 4th get up and get going very, very slowly and then hit the road for the first leg of a two day drive home . . . works perfectly. not easy mind you, but would be okay with me

as for the boyz . . . sure yes, they get to jet set home and be with family on the 4th. seems fair if they blow it up that weekend and leave me hosed, speechless, jaw on the ground and bug-eyed 😯 . . . . leaving me 😀 and 8) would be nice, too, but not 👿 and 😈

  19. Henry Says:

After this (seemingly credible) leak, how long do you think til we see an official announcement about this bad boy? I guess the sooner they announce the more time they have to sell tickets

  20. Gavinsdad Says:

Some wise person on here said summer dates dropped mid march last year @Henry. But you have a good point too. Think Phish will really be able to gauge the current fanbase with an east coast summer fest. May help them assess future fall spring and summer tours methinks.

  21. Gavinsdad Says:

Can’t help to also wonder about the current state of PhikiLeaks. Are they intentional? Is it shell games? Etc etc.

  22. kayatosh Says:

    nice win today, palmer.

checking 11.7.98 now. really nice aud. quiet audience too. they get deathly silent during fikus. i’m impressed, chicago.

  23. Gavinsdad Says:

There was a pretty good band in the Raleigh lot pre show. From Ohio. Stoner-y name, perhaps a rasta pun? Pretty darn good band.

  24. beepaphone Says:

Not that this means anything either, but…

  25. Jtran Says:

That Bag is one of my top shelf Phish jams. Enjoy, especially if you’ve never heard that set II before.
