12-28-12 (Graham Lucas)

Here are ten more jams/sequences—unranked—that take the next ten slots in 2012’s Top 50. Below, I threw in a random reader’s poll. Take a few seconds to weigh in on some Phishy questions.

This jam could be ranked higher.

  1. Dorn76 Says:

I can’t see camping there under any circumstances. A Bader-esque non-festi even seems like a stretch in such a small space.

  2. ren Says:

Either way we slice it…looks like there’s a good chance of a 3 night run post 4th of July. Spending July 4th camping into 3 nights of Phish sounds like a pretty damn good July 4th weekend to me.

  3. Dorn76 Says:

Yeah it’s all gravy for us Northeast folks, really. They’ll be plenty of shows in striking distance.

Fun to stress about something so ultimately frivolous though.

  4. gavinsdad Says:

and yeah @palmer saw Pete got to sit in w ABB. i know he’s off to London and beyond for a month or so to play…but pretty cool that brought him out…he’s a damn monster on the hammond.

  5. littleumbrellas Says:

To those enjoying Follakazoid, hope you got Can’s Future Days.

  6. gavinsdad Says:

@palms etc – robyn just said Pete played 3 tunes w blind boys and ABB, then they had him come back out to play “the weight” w joan osborne and he sat next to Greg for that. pretty nice to see him getting some.

  7. Sumodie Says:

Bader only drew 20,000 a day, so yeah, I can easily see Northerly Island being setup for a possible 30,000 (which wouldn’t sellout). Doubt camping would happen.

  8. Mr. Palmer Says:

yeah.. that’s awesome. gum drop free I’m sure….

  9. plord Says:

Palms, yes, Dayton out and VCU in takes it to a whole ‘nother level. Sorry to Serious William but it’s true.

On the other hand, if I’m VCU, I look at what will be left of the A10 and I’m seeing an auto-bid for years and years.

  10. Dorn76 Says:

Huh, guess I’m off on the size then.

I’m all for it. Would be an amazing weekend.

  11. Mr. Palmer Says:

Trying to temper my summer tour excitement. I need to stay within my 7-10 show per year agreement. With a Fall tour ( which is gonna be the shit btw) looming this year, I need to be very selective come summer.

Not to mention Dicks and NYE run…

2-3 summer 4 fall- 2 NYE…. my potential breakdown this year.

  12. marcoesq Says:

    Morning all.

Someone should look into a Ter Financing company. Obviously credit checks would still apply.

  13. Kaveh Says:

For me: a couple for the summer…then fall tour and/or anniversary run (if there is one)

  14. Kaveh Says:

Speaking of March…are we doing a BB NCAA Pool this year?

  15. MiA Says:

It was OSC I was listening to in archive.org

I also like to go to shows a day early.

I’m becoming more Hans Moleman every day really.

  16. marcoesq Says:

Yeah let’s do the pool. I gots some duckets on it. Help me pay for ter

  17. Dorn76 Says:

Send me the details I’ll join a BB March Madness pool.

    Grand Prize: Pax Vape

Second Prize: Case of Kaya approved $$+ brews

    Third Prize: Corncob pipe set

Lowest Score: Pair of Mumford tickets

  18. Dorn76 Says:

*low score has to attend said Mumford show and provide pictures of him/herself getting down to it.

  19. lumpyhead Says:

    ^ hilarious

  20. voopa Says:

    I’m out.

  21. ren Says:

    My Summer plans

tour opener 1-offs—-1 or 2 if they happen near NY metro area

    july 4th weekend—-hopefully its Bethel

    Festi????

    Dicks

I think its a bit heavy considering the three big weekends in there and Fall/Anny coming up as well. If the festi happens I’ll be cutting out either July 4th weekend or Dicks?!?!?

Dicks experience -vs- just a plain great summer weekend with Phish….tough call

  22. tzara's Says:

Oh man, I’m out too. The stakes are too big, and my college basketball knowledge is too small.

  23. purplehumpbackwhale Says:

ren – id go dicks over july 4th for sure. especially just in terms of spreading out the phish love time-wise over the summer

  24. Mr. Palmer Says:

Guyute 711– trouble in arctic basketball Paradise? ( I told you something was coming).

    http://dystnow.com/2013/03/06/breaking-news-syracuse-head-coach-jim-boeheim-asked-to-retire/

  25. Dorn76 Says:

    Happy to lower the stakes.

But the low score has to do something Mumford-related. That’s non-negotiable, IMO.
