  2. Mr. Palmer Says:

As a matter of fact- Garcia plays lead on majority of tracks… Lots of great musicians on this one.

  3. Gavinsdad Says:

Cue the Palmer link to the PERRO sessions in 3….2….1….

  4. phishm Says:

Another rarer jerry thing I have always liked

Love Scene from the soundtrack of Zabriskie Point, a film I watched primarily to hear the Pink Floyd tunes of back in the day but in doing so found that gem.

  8. HeadyBrosevelt Says:

love the perro sessions, check out david and the dorks also.

    has this been posted? http://livemusicblog.com/2014/05/07/new-phish-album-to-be-called-fuego/

And I knew I was right about those freaky five finger shoes. Fucking weird. And apparently not so good for your feet either.

GD on Playboy After Dark with Hugh.

Repost from the archives of BBhistory. You all have seen this. Surely.

I was there dorn. most vivid memory of that run (or maybe it was the year before) was a rousing standing on the moon with a fully engaged jerry and an aiko that had the balcony in full swaying up and down mode. Had a (snowman tab) induced vision of the whole building collapsing.

  12. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    and another thing…

  13. dorn76 Says:

    Afternoon. 1985. Chula Vista. GD.

    Need we say more?

Playing Yootoob DJ is fun. And I’m spent.

  14. dorn76 Says:

Balcony swayed. Yes. Clydesdales on the Bud billboard out front nearly trampled me.

    First time on liquid!

  15. joe Says:

gd on playboy after dark definitely in my top 10 uses of a time machine to see live music.

  16. vegas wolfmans Says:

Dig that Temples video, Palmer. Gotta say that I downloaded the album (Sun Structures), spun it twice, and think it is pretty terrible. Jangly, retro 60’s wanna-be nonsense. Like a way inferior, less forward-thinking version of Tame Impala. Seeing that video makes me feel better about the situation.

Gonna take Bomb Tweezer to the dome. #bonerjams

  17. joe Says:

be the hit of that party if you brought some 2014 pre-rolls with you. might even snag a bunny.

  18. Dorn76 Says:

Heff would’ve taken the spliff, then tossed me out on my ass.

  19. MiA Says:

I know VW. Album seemed like a bad cop of a 13th Floor Elevators album. Not unlistenable but redundant. But live they were a completely different band. Groove oriented.

Totally willing to jam things without saying they were jamming things.

  20. phishm Says:

Now picture the bunnies all tripping hard on the shit that the Dead put into the Coffee and no longer showing any inhibitions.

  21. vegas wolfmans Says:

I like bands that are willing to jam things without saying they are jamming things. Especially those that serve up a heaping side of angst. I will be attending APF next year.

Also, Bomb Factory Son! Just worked my way into the ->Walk Away

Any bbers hit this show? MiA?

New Orleans flashbacks swimming in my mind. What an incredible place. So many thoughts, really really fell in love with this place. We need to go in on a place there. Very ready to spend a month of every year.

Still processing, going to do some kind of Umbrella report on the all music I caught.

  23. little umbrellas Says:

    @BH, enjoy the Atomic Bomb?

  24. jdub Says:

When your 4 year old daughter busts out the lyrics to her favorite song and nails it on a whim and the lyrics are the following, you know you done good.

    Keep it real peeps.

There’s a mouse starin’ out of the window
His car is trapped in the snow
    He’s planning a family vacation
    But he just can’t go
Around the next corner’s a red bird
His feathers are trapped in a sling
He’s passed by some gunslinging parrot (he’s been trashed by some gunslinging parrot)
Who’s jealous he ain’t got no grin

There ain’t no time to stash the gumbo
Or rattle around in a cage
    The sacrificed child’s made bubbles
    And spittle is everywhere enraged
In THE hot sand *i render* I RAN ON my feet (in the hot sand i render my feet)
They’re blistered and caked with debris
Chez rolez is guarding the tote board
    While Angry piddles with glee

  25. Stoney Case Says:

VW, agreed about the Temples. Album sounds like a lo-fi attempt at lo-fi. Live is a far more swirling, edgy sound. Like the video shows. Still enjoy the album, but maybe not for long. Def making the Tame Impala comparisons listening in the van.
